Man, Gamzee's opinion is so skewed. Clearly being a crazy psychopath at heart means someone's fully trustworty. Which is pretty much why Gamzee doesn't have any doubts about wandering off on his own, he trusts Vani to keep Karkat safe.

Coop likes Reid! He's bright for one which is a trait Coop always appreciates, but he's also shown to be able to be playful (Tetris!!) which he values just as high. He's not hard to talk to and there are a few similarities between them, at least from the looks of it, and being FBI is just one of the reasons Coop will gladly poke at him and get to know him a bit more. Also like Albert Coop can't help but see a bit of himself in Reid, which while not exactly a positive thing doesn't really harm the impression he's making. c: the tl;dr is GOOD GUY, pleased to know you, and wouldn't mind knowing you a bit more.

Yay, Reid is part of The Team. :3 That can be the source of some awkwardness for him since he's extremely aware of the fact that Gordon, Coop, and Albert have all been working together for years, and he isn't certain about his place in that dynamic beyond 'also there's this other agent'. He feels a little like he has to prove himself capable all over again, although luckily, neither Gordon, Coop, nor Albert have ever dismissed him based on his age or youthful appearance so far, so he at least doesn't feel like he needs to work to get them to listen to something he has to say.

And luckily, Carmen's plan has been working so far. Simultaneously encouraging his nerdiness and giving him a topic to practice social interaction and flirting with is actually a really effective way of building his confidence and giving him some experience to work with if a different person approaches him. And he hasn't even noticed her doing it! Congrats, Carmen. You're awesome. (And also, I'd love to play out a few of her 'let's help you work through your issues' schemes, because Reid has a lot of issues he won't address.)

Danny thinks Winry is a great friend. He also thinks she's really good looking, but, she and Ed have a thing and he's got a thing of his own, so he's not planning to take it anywhere.

Mostly, he's hopeful that he and Winry can become as good of friends as he and Ed were, or even he and Sam, before they got together.

Reid is actually pretty neutral about Sion with a tendency towards 'like'. He shows interest in intellectual pursuits and he doesn't make fun of Reid for his quirks, so he's automatically on Reid's good side, but he hasn't engaged Reid on a personal level to the point where Reid feels at all close to him. Which Spencer actually considers to be a good thing, since he doesn't like having too many personal connections on account of his trust issues.

If Sion asked him for help with something intellectual, Reid would be more than happy to oblige, but for now he considers the relationship a cross between professional and an acquaintanceship.

Not to worry Ren. I'm sure he's not the only one who feels like facepalming every time they see Cobra. Or that pretends to respect him when he really doesn't.

Luckily, Cobra's either terrible at detecting it...or doesn't care so long as people are respectful to his face so it won't be an issue!

Actually, some things kind of have changed. A little. With the intel she's gotten from Ren and Kimblee about Cobra's plans and thoughts on what the Tournament "was" and Kimblee's mentioned attack on Violet, Cobra's...kind of moved down a lot on her threat ladder. >> She still considers him a threat because she knows better than to underestimate anybody here, but she rolls her eyes at him for the most part. He stopped being intimidating a long time ago. >>

CLEARLY MORE TEAM FBI POWWOWS ARE NEEDED. (also I am actually writing up a Thanksgiving log right now so hopefully we can all hit that for team bonding shenanigans aplenty.) The part I like is that he actually does fit really well into the existing team dynamic — Albert had previously been occupying the sort of "smart guy" niche, but Reid's actually a really nice balance of Albert and Coop, all quirky insightful profiler while still being a wealth of facts. He makes an excellent addition to the existing team. o/

Yes, see, she's awesome like that. And if she were in the know about his trust issues, she'd probably point out that in a way, she's a completely safe outlet in terms of the trust thing because there's no uncertainty — he should already know not to trust her for reasons having nothing to do with his social awkwardness and everything to do with her being a wanted criminal. Which seems like weird logic (LOL, CARMEN LOGIC IS SO WEIRD ALWAYS), but it does effectively take the question of trust entirely off the table and gives him a solid answer, which in its own way is safer and breeds less hesitance than not knowing. And if that works to set him at ease, well. Problem solved. :|b

(Granted, she's of the opinion that she's completely trustworthy, but for the sake of facilitating the plan, she's willing to point out the other side of it.)
