I can't think of a better way to phrase this, but Gordon is glad that Albert is here to beat science into the Pokemon world. Because no one else seems to be interested in making an awesome antiStun Spore gasmask or trying to solve the mystery of Kricketune's mustache. And things like that are going to be helpful with combating the stuff here. Okay, maybe not the mustache, but still.
Coupled with the fact that he's a familiar face who's already used to working with Gordon and can at least deal with his eccentricities, he hopes Albert doesn't disappear any time soon.
There's still a ton of hatred on Cobra's end for ~El Zorua~. That's not going to change. He's not going to rescind the bounty anytime soon either. That's going to stay until someone claims it or Cobra leaves Route.
BUT
At the same time he likes having someone he can talk to who actually knows what he's talking about. And if he destroys El Zorua, who will he talk to about jetpack gliders and cosmic graffiti? He's still trying to work out some plan for getting his revenge without actually ruining that because THESE OTHER VILLAINS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY HAVING YOUR FACE ON THE MOON IS AWESOME, OKAY?
Reid likes Coop, and his naturally friendly demeanor has managed to soothe Reid's usual 'oh god new person' anxiety, so much so that he was comfortable enough to start competing with Tetris. (His Tetris app has gotten such a workout since they started that game.)
At the same time, Reid takes a long time before he trusts someone, so he's still going to avoid talking about his own life and the various issues that come with that. More extensive personal engagement should help that out, and Thanksgiving would probably be a good opportunity for that.
COOP REALLY LIKES GORDON. Like a lot. He appreciates the man in a way not a lot of people get, because Gordon's been there throuh some pretty bad stuff and always had his back. Coop really trusts him to do that - and the fact that Gordon consistently pulls through with his agents' best interest in mind just makes him a really reliable figure and Coop frankly don't have many of those in his life, so it means even more to have Gordon around even if they're usually pretty professioal in their relationship. It's a kind of comfort, really. Another plus is that Gordon is pretty damn a-okay with the spooky supernatural stuff and takes them at face value the way he does, because that's another thing that not most people do. He's important and Coop loves working for him. c:
Actually, he likes Crow and is interested in him, partially because of his 'street smart yet kind' streak, which reminds him a lot of various people he's met during cases. He wouldn't consider them friends (mostly because he is very, very careful about allowing people to have that label), but he wants to get to know Crow more, since profiling can't really replace personal interaction.
We only got like one scene of Albert and Gordon together in canon and some scattered references here and there but AUGH, it's been so much fun expanding on that with you and you are such a fantastic Gordon, THANK YOU for being in this cast and making it immeasurably better with your awesome.
First of all, Gordon's really thankful for that ride from Violet to Goldenrod a while back.
That being said, he thinks she's really interesting. And hopes that she's not upset about him telling Hiccup not to take off to look for her during the ghost thing. He tried to be nicer about it than Albert, but still. ):
And this makes me realize that I need to throw Gordon at her more.
