Ren is a ...not a friend, no, but something almost like a friend, almost. If he gets in her way, she won't let him stay there and she doesn't trust him completely etc etc, but she's not the most trustworthy person either, so that's okay. Utau kind of likes his company. He's not annoying when they're alone, check below about girls being around, and she's kind of almost showing different sides of her in front of him by now... And he's used to her rude answers by now, pffffft.
If she wasn't the "loves one person at a time" type, she possibly maybe probably idontknow could have a crush on him, but... she's the type and you'll just have to deal with it. Oh, except she really kind of hates or at least dislikes (with passion) how Ren talks to all the girls. Hello Bachelor, Prince Charming, Whatever You Are, that's not how you do it if you ever want to charm this girl and make her think that she's your number one.
