Well, Malik will be doing all he can to keep Yuugi from suspecting a thing. Which won't work, of course, but he has to buy time until he figures out what's happened in Yuugi's timeline to make Yuugi a) recognize him as "Malik" and b) be okay with living in the same house as the guy who straps people to death arenas.
So basically he'll be spoiler hunting, but doesn't want to bring it up directly since then there's the question of when he's from - and far as he's concerned, the only two options in his future are victory or death. A Yuugi who accepts him fits nicely into neither of these projections.
