Sort of, but not really. When John was younger, he thought having a sibling of any age would be nice (though actually he leaned more towards wanting an older one even though that would be the more impossible outcome of the two) because he spent a lot of time alone and that's just not a whole lot of fun. Since his dad wasn't married, he knew that wasn't going to happen. But it was a nice thought, all the same. Then he met the other kids and that desire kind of went away because they're basically like family to him anyway.

Dad never talked about it and as John got older he stopped asking his Dad things because he was a dumb teenager. (You know, like how he had no idea what his Dad even did for a living.
