Seeing as how it's been about seven months since the last time we did this, it's high time for another...
TEST DRIVE MEME!
Post with the characters you're thinking of apping in to see how they do! Either they've been here a while, are just arriving, or anything you want!

Traveling with demons (shut up they're demons) is, in and of itself, a rather liberating experience. Blue skies overhead, green grass beneath your feet, creatures of unimaginable power at your side, no obligations but to enjoy yourself thoroughly, some kid wav-
-oh, hey.
Walter still can't treat foreigners as naturally as he'd speak with one of his own countrymen, but if someone's trying to get his attention he's not going to ignore them. The young man turns, hands in his pockets, his Houndoom and Golduck stopping at his heels. After a moment, he returns the wave, strolling a few paces off the path and calling out a casual greeting.]
Hoy, there.

Hm. With a nod, Ramza gives a smile. At least you're not garbed in clothing too modern, or he would be confused.]
Hello. I was wondering - are you some kind of swordsman?
[You just feel that way to him. Yes, even if their weapons have been stripped - it's perhaps the outfit.]

By an inch or two.]Hah. [Spoilers: not actually laughing.] Not in this land. Blades go dull the moment they lose sight of the whetstone.

Even the blades of a Skarmory dull the moment you unsheathe them. [He seems a little irritated at that. How could people fight wars with blunt swords? As if to show it, he does get out a crudely-crafted sword, made from fallen feathers.] Though, I still choose to keep the title. [At least the title of swordsman. Not the one of Beoulve, even if that is what the network shows.] Perhaps someday I shall find steel strong enough to keep the title of sword.
[...Or a Honedge.]

my alignment senses are tinglingI mean whatbut no you're totally some kind of noble aren't you
nobody else gives that much of a shit about titles and honor
eh whatever]
These demons do well enough for their masters, but there's only so much sport in watching from the rear. [can we agree on that at least]

he's trying to act like a commoner
even if he still stands like a noble and talks like one
His stance does change.]
Thankfully, not all my skills have been robbed. It's true - it is not exactly my idea of battle only allowing these monsters to fight between themselves.
[Sigh. But, you call them demons? Ramza will need to ask about that a little bit more. But not right now. He then picks up a rock.]
You need to compensate somehow, to keep up with them. Or it would be using them.

They seem content enough to be "used", if that's the case. ...Not that I don't agree with you. [Though it's not really justice to the Pokemon he cares about whoops] 'Twould be a thrill to meet some of these creatures in a real fight, if the chance came.

My friend, Delita, [he says... before pausing a little. He should have thought of this name better (though to be fair he thought it was a reborn monk version of his dead/not dead friend),] has an interest in hand-to-hand combat. Though he gives me a run for my Gil, we are still trying to decide who is the strongest.
[But, a little sigh.] It's little wonder we are not fully matched in battle. His fists hold power, mine only hold the tremblings of an Orator.
