ARADIA... is such a generally weird thing for Kayneth because he feels like he should not like her as much as he does? Aside from SCIENCE she is very much not his kind of people but man he still really likes her anyway, even when she's being really weird.

...well okay just sort of weird, the other times he's not even sure how this happened. She's really fun to talk to about pretty much anything on his mind and she is always so goshdarned pleasant. Why can't more of his students be like this...?

He is also not entirely sure how he feels about the friend thing because... well... mages are a cagey bunch who prefer to keep people at arm's length, and that's just kind of how he's always operated. So, while he does consider her a friend, it would probably still take a while before he opened up to her about Issues. But, hey, she's closer than most people...!
