All Three On: Enjoyed, Waste-Of-Time Activities

Carmen:
Okay, this is something that's been mentioned maybe once or twice in complete noodle-incident glory in Route threads, but — the thing about Carmen and "activities she enjoys" is that if she enjoys them, she doesn't tend to feel like they're a waste of time at all because she's very much a live-in-the-moment, carpe diem kind of person and if it's engaging her in some way for some reason, she doesn't consider that invaluable even if it's unorthodox.

THAT SAID.

Quite possibly the one and only exception to this is the fact that she is secretly addicted to really shitty reality shows. We're talking like the Route equivalents of Jerry Springer and Jersey Shore — the kind of TV that melts your brain and you cannot for the life of you justify watching except to melt your brain, despair for humanity, and consume popcorn like your life depends on it.

And the best part is that she knows how incredibly shitty these shows are but she keeps watching them anyway — and, notably, won't let Zack watch them with her because she is determined to protect him from the shitty programming, which has led to Top Secret Superspy Zack covertly trying to figure out what those particular shows are about, with very little success.

(She also watches semi-practical shows like Iron Chef Kanto and Unova's Next Top Model and Project Runway: Hoenn, which she concedes are at least interesting in terms of watching people being good at the things they're good at; there is no justifying Vermilion Shore, though.)

Parker:
Parker is also a hard one to answer this question for, but for a completely different (yet equally stupid) reason: Parker actually...doesn't know how to have fun, canonically. There's an entire episode in season five about her quest to learn to like stuff, even, and how it takes her quite awhile before she seems to get it, so.

In Route she's gotten a little better about things, but for Parker, "enjoy" and "waste of time" are pretty mutually exclusive (like with Carmen) for the opposite reason as it was for Carmen — if Parker thinks something is a waste of time, she won't enjoy it because it's wasting her time with no appreciable value to it.

I think the closest she might come to this is planning how to rob the jewelry stores in Goldenrod (or robbing anything else, really) — she enjoys it because she's good at it, but it's technically a "waste of time" because she's been given the "we don't steal things, Alice-san" lecture enough times now that she generally won't break the law nearly as much as she cheerfully would back home.

(Late in Season 5 we also see her sort of absently building card houses so I guess you could call that a time-waster; it's more that she likes having something to fidget with than it is that she "enjoys" it, but there's that also.)

Kirigiri:
And now, the easiest one of the bunch: honestly, I think Kirigiri has a secret penchant for a) people-watching and b) writing little vignettes in a paper journal that nobody knows about. I don't think the latter is something she'd ever want to make public in any capacity, coming from a class with both an SHSL Doujin Artist and an SHSL Literary Girl, but I think she tries to justify the people-watching as "oh, no, I'm emulating Sherlock Holmes, I'm learning to read people and spot clues and improve my observational skills" blah blah blah, when really it's just that she kind of likes to sit around watching people and thinking about who they might be and what their lives might be like.

Also she sometimes writes really shitty self-gratifying short stories that again, she will never show anyone but it's your traditional adolescent-girl-on-fanfiction-dot-net bullshit. And super embarrassing.
