[ Anyone in Goldenrod City or on one of the nearby routes might run into a girl who looks like she should be in elementary school; spoiler alert, she's actually 24, but she's so tiny and most people are likely going to assume she's twelve at the most. She has a camera around her neck and is ready to take pictures of anything that captures her interest.

Which seems to be practically everything. When she's not wandering around in the tall grass or climbing trees to take approximately a million pictures of wild Pokémon, she's taking pictures of completely mundane shit like a crack in the sidewalk or somebody's lawn. Hell, she's going to be take pictures of you if you need a reason to approach her. ]

Hmmm, hmm. What do you think of this picture, Pikachu?

[ ...The electric rodent sitting on her shoulder is an Emolga, by the way. ]

[...Huh.

You know, several people have crossed his mind as those who would be useful to him here; Hori is almost always at the top of his list, as that goes. She's also consistently been at the top of his list of those least likely to show up here, because really, the last time he implicitly asked this place for useful people, he got Banjou.

But it seems that today fate has finally smiled upon Shuu Tsukiyama, and he's just going to be leaning up against a nearby tree while she shows her Pikachu (BECAUSE ALL THE ELECTRIC RODENTS AROUND HERE ARE PIKACHU, RIGHT) her bounty, and he's more than content to watch from a distance until he sees fit to try to catch her attention.]

If you'd left me to myself any longer, I'd have to start worrying that you didn't like me anymore.

[His tone is light, a little cloying but more than slightly facetious; hello there, you.]

[ Things she did not expect to run into in Pokéworld: this. She lowers her camera and spends the next few seconds staring at him like he just rose from the dead. ]

It's only been a matter of weeks since you saw me last, hasn't it? At the most! So there's no need to seem so surprised.

Um, no. It's been a lot longer than that. [ Did Kanae not tell you it's been literally years, or ] Ah, well. At least you've finally left your casket.

[ ASSUMING IT EVEN IS A CASKET. Good thing this is just a test drive so it doesn't matter if it's something else! ]

[You know, he really should be more surprised than he is that that particular complaint is being lodged against an apparently dead person. Were it anyone else saying it, he probably would be; as it stands, however...yes, he'd imagine the corpse was incredibly boring and impossible to talk to, he has no idea why you thought it would be otherwise, but sure. Fine.

There are a lot of questions to be asked, the most pressing being focused on what happened, exactly, but now isn't the time to ask them; this isn't something he wants to think about for too long right now because it's just so made of "what" that he doesn't know what to do with it outside of disregard it.

So! Disregard it he shall, and he lets his fingers rake lightly through that sweep at the front of his hair, and he's still smiling when he speaks.]

Well! Obviously I'm perfectly fine now, so I'd say it hardly matters for the time being.

[ It's a good thing he disregarded it; Chie wouldn't have dispensed any major deets concerning the...everything that happened because she'd rather avoid risking another angst coma so from now on she's going to tactfully omit information she doesn't think he needs to know.

She appreciates that he doesn't start bombarding her with questions, really. ]

...You should buy me a parfait. One of those big ones.

Already...? Ah, but I shouldn't be surprised that you're looking out for yourself, even now, right?

[It doesn't take him long to settle into the usual pattern, really; this is comfortable, and perhaps more importantly it's familiar, and he can't say that either are unwelcome right about now.]

Nope, you shouldn't. [ She pauses, turning her attention to the camera and tinkers with the settings while Pikachu the Emolga watches with vague interest. ]

I think I'm in the mood for chocolate and strawberries today. They do have strawberries here, right?

They do - actual strawberries, not just the strangely-colored ones. If you find anything that looks even vaguely like a strawberry on the routes, however...well, I'll warn you not to touch it.

I know better than to eat unfamiliar berries. Are they poisonous?

It's not as though I have firsthand experience! But not to my knowledge - they're just enough to ruin your day, and a few days afterwards.

I'll definitely stay away from those things, then. [ She'd rather not have any of her days ruined, thanks. ]

What are we waiting for? Come on, let's go to a nice cafe so you can buy me a parfait.

[He just laughs a bit at that, shaking his head.]

One would think you hadn't seen a parfait in three years, either.

[That said, come on, you. He knows where to get some absolute shitkicker parfaits around here.]

It's lucky that we met up like this, either way; I've been here a while, I've gotten to know the area very well.

How long have you been here? Kanae-kun didn't say anything about you going on a Pokémon journey.
