BAD DECISION BIRD:

WOW SO a lot has happened between them in the past month or so and Envy sort of still trying to catch up with it all. He's gone from simmering-under-the-surface unnoticed crush to actual fullblown hidden crush to NOW THEY ARE DATING, all relatively quickly. And in spite of all the reasoning that he did agree with, he still feels very guilty that he's gotten with a new person, and he's really not sure yet how to translate their until-recently totally platonic friendship interactions into dating, which he only knows how to do with one person who is Definitely Not Heather. On the OTHER hand, he really, genuinely likes Heather romantically and is thrilled that she feels the same way, and he wants to give this a shot. AND IF IT DOESN'T WORK OUT, THEN HEY. NOBODY WILL KNOW ABOUT THEIR SECRET.

In non-ship development news, Envy just feels very close to her ANYWAY. She knows more of his past than anyone who didn't come from Amestris, and he's willing to let his guard down around her more than he will with anyone else. She's as messed up as he is and she already knows so much that he's not nearly as afraid of her finding out about his past as he is with most people. He sees her as an equal and someone he can confide vulnerabilities to if he has to. And while he knows that she can take care of herself, he'd do just about anything to protect her if she needed it.

ANGRY DEAD BABY:

ANOTHER CR THAT HAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. Envy has gone from being angry and wanting nothing to do with Wrath to genuinely caring about the little goblin. He cared even when he was trying really hard not to, but now that they're on better terms, it's really coming to light. He knows just how badly he fucked up, both in Amestris and in Johto, and he wants to do whatever he can to try and make it better. Wrath got slotted in as his younger brother in his head without him even realizing it, even as far back as Dream Prom, but now he can really start thinking of him that way actively instead of just subconsciously. He's not sure exactly HOW to be a big brother to an eight year old, but HE'S GONNA TRY REALLY HARD TO KEEP THAT PROMISE.
