So, I’ve signed up Cobra here to attack the Saffron and Vermillion Gyms. I was wondering if anyone wanted to help him with one/both of those or get involved in that.

Game-wise, I wanted to suggest a couple of things, but they’re pretty vague. Maybe we could have some sort of prehistoric Pokémon event/swarm/thing in the future? Maybe involving the Pewter Museum?

My other idea is that maybe there could be something with the Ruins of Alph and the Unown. Maybe Team Rocket or just some random traveler accidentally does something and releases Unowns everywhere throughout the area?

Like I said, they’re pretty vague and just some ideas I’ve been kicking around for the past couple weeks.

Also on a way smaller note, I’m working on revising Cobra’s list of people he hates but that probably won’t get finished until after the current event.

Prehistoric Pokémon! \o/ *wants Apollo to have an Archen so bad*

Hm... Would the Unown do that weird crystal thing like in the movie maybe?

On that smaller note, it's too bad Apollo and Cobra won't be able to have a superpowered fight with their powers (he's level 2 fire, if you're wondering), since Apollo will be in the Ecruteak area during the event. I still want that horribly embarrassing fight to happen though. XD

What crystal thing? I don't really remember the movie that well.

And yeah, I'm thinking at some point after the event we could set that up? Cobra made a bet with Rider over who could conquer Johto first, so he has a reason now to go scout some of the locations he hasn't been to like Azalea Town and the Ilex Forest.

Oh, in the movie they cover a mansion and eventually most of a town with formations of crystal, and draw on the wishes of a little girl to create things like Pokémon out of crystal too. Of course, once they expand the area too far they start losing control and the whole area starts filling with crystal spikes.

Apollo's left Azalea and by the end of the month should be at the Lake of Rage, then in August and into September it looks like he'll be coming back down, taking on the gyms in Goldenrod, then Ecruteak, then Olivine, and then Cianwood (getting all the HMs, and likely never setting foot in a gym again). After that he'll Fly back to the Lake of Rage with the plan to set up a cave to spend the winter in, after which I'm not sure how to get him out and about much. Basically, over the next two months or so he'll be everywhere important in Johto at least once. I'll be putting together a travel itinerary for my own reference, so I'll have exactish when/where dates for you if you need them. Right now I can only give you until the end of the month.

And I saw Rider and Cobra's talk. XD Sorry Cobra, I'm rooting for Rider here.

There was actually an event like that in Route's early days, crystals and all. :|b I believe it had something to do with Team Rocket and the Ruins of Alph. There were definitely crystals, though.

Well! Athrun is in Vermilion City, and he's not about to sit back and let someone attack a gym without trying to stop it -- especially the same guy who tried to blow up the Game Corner a few months ago. That said, I'm totally up for him getting injured -- he's well overdue for a hospital visit.

Awesome! I'm going to have him do the Saffron one first to test things out, so I'll probably send you a message this weekend to plan the Vermillion one if that's okay with you?

Hm! Well, Xion is in Celadon, but she just could easily fly to Saffron and see what's going on. Could we be involved in trying to stop this?

Depending on when the gym attack happens, Riku might wind up flying down to see what's going down. He'll have level four fire powers, but I don't mind getting him a little roughed up. Even with his monster team to protect him, he's not invincible. :|b

A prehistoric swarm would be neat-- or maybe a rampage, given the nature of those particular Pokémon. I've actually toyed with the idea of Terror trying to lay some eggs and have them hatch into vicious 'dactyls, but I like the idea of maybe a revival attempt at the Pewter Museum going out of control.

As for Unowns, I think there was a plot like that at the start of the game, though I'm sure there's more that can be done with Unown.

ICly the Saffron one will either be set before the Centers went down or this weekend. The Vermillion one should be in the middle of next week. My timing and getting things done got kinda screwed up by me getting sick yesterday q_q

Which ones would you like to get Riku involved in?

And I completely forgot about a prior Unown plot. My bad.

Saffron works best, I think! Since the powers don't kick in until the 16th, he'll probably be relying on his team of beasties. Namely, his Charizard, Dragonite, Garchomp, Scizor, Blastoise, and Lucario. 'course, I don't expect him to be able to do anything significant other than be a royal pain. His team is powerful, but I'm guessing Cobra's got some tricks up his sleeve.

Cobra doesn't have a ton of level 100s, but he's got a couple. And they're willing to target people. And he's a level 2 Dark-Type. Which means a bunch of fun Dark moves. So yeah, he's got some tricks up his sleeve.

And yeah, that would definitely put Riku on his list if that's okay with you.

Man, I love Cobra's list of people he hates.

I picture it like the Burn Book from Mean Girls except with more Cobra logos everywhere and lots of furious scribbling in the margins and possibly some mustaches drawn on the people he's got pictures of.


(Also, more relevantly, a prehistoric event would be totally relevant to Carmen's interests and I've actually considered having her steal Pokemon fossils before, so. /useful information?)

He definitely has them all in a notebook with Cobra logos everywhere. Not sure on mustaches though. Knowing him? There probably are some in there.

...so if fossils get stolen and Route gets overrun with ancient Pokemon, we know who to blame?
