He thinks she's really nice. LIKE. That's a shitty adjective but bear with it for a bit. She reminds him a lot of a couple of people he knows back home, typically Bruno (who's a (very cheerful) genius mechanic whose skills actually outclass Yuusei's and easily someone he considers one of his best friends) and Aki (who's a girl that he saved from a really dark place in her life and she used to be REALLY MEAN with her psychic powers but now she's relatively chill and it's more or less A FEMALE FIGURE in his life that isn't terrifying like Sherry LeBlanc ahsdksa).
So, with that in mind, she reminds him of two people he's close to and because of that, it's like a double dose of feeling more at home. I was actually coming into this expecting him to be a little more wary of getting himself settled in because of the particular point in canon he's taken from (what with needing to get home and save his city), but her presence actually helped him settle his ass down a little quicker. He's fond of her company and enjoys spending time with her just as much as he enjoys being around Crow.
I FEEL LIKE THERE SHOULD BE MORE but I've gone on enough as it is ahsdak
No, but really. She adooores Riku. Yes, there's a bit of a crush there, about the same level as I typically portray her having feelings for Sora. Now, things here differ quite a bit from how she normally perceives Riku for the simple fact that this particular one hasn't gone through the same things that Riku has by the time the end of KH2 rolls around.
She still sees him as a very strong person, worthy of a bit of admiration. Hard-working and typically lighthearted with his teasing which of course lets her open up a bit more to it than she would if she were dealing with the Riku from her particular canonpoint. So she lets herself tease back without having to really concern herself with saying something wrong that might just remind him of something that's happened - not that she'd ever really have that issue? But just in case. She enjoys hanging around him, and enjoys feeling like she can just slip into her old habits with him and Sora.
All in all, she doesn't mind being attached at the hip to Riku, especially if he's not been able to experience everything in the games because holy crap that's a lot for him to deal with and Riku should be happy. She adores Riku regardless of what he's gone through of course, but the idea of knowing that he hasn't gone through that makes it a lot easier on her heart, and as a result, a lot easier for her to be like she used to when she was fourteen, back when they were all relatively carefree and only had to worry about getting homework done on time and getting home from playing in time for dinner.
So far Aradia really likes her! She gave helpful tips, inexplicably seems to be moirailing Eridan into submission (I know they aren't palemates but it looks like it okay), and was pretty fun to talk to!
On the in-process CR chart she is ♥♥◊◊ i.e. reliable acquiantance!
She might have to ask more about all the things that happened in her world, cause Eridan talking about being culled and something about drones with buckets? He at least explained quadrants but jgalkdj she has yet to really understand them all that well. Aradia seems very nice and very cheerful, compared to the other trolls she's met (Sollux is a jerk, jsyk). Since she was a new breeder herself, Cheria will help Aradia whenever she needs it, because BREEDER CHICKS STICK TOGETHER, YEAH!
Aradia would probably explain all that stuff cheerfully EXPOSITION FAIRY KAY but lolololol I doubt that would help Cheria much because really their world is ridiculous<. (Aradia has actually not spoken to Sollux but obviously she's chilling with one in her timeline so)
But no, seriously, Reid respects Gordon and would be willing to follow his lead if he pulled rank. He vaguely remembers what went on when Amanda was in control, and he's gotten a glance of how Gordon conducts himself and his 'team' in a crisis situation, so he feels like he's understanding why he's in a position of authority.
But Reid still has issues about letting people close, so at the moment, he holds Gordon at arm's length and considers their relationship professional. Friendly, but professional. That will probably change as Reid gets to talk to him more, especially during Thanksgiving when he meets him in person and talks to him in a personal setting.
Also, bonus: Reid is aware of Cobra and has watched/read his posts, but he hasn't replied, mostly because he's found that announcing that you're watching a megalomaniac doesn't tend to work out well. He's keeping an eye on him, just in case he does something that he really has to worry about. And he's baffled by how cartoon-y he is.
