[Oh man how to word this...Envy's frowning, looking tense and defensive and a little nervous too, but it's something he has to ask about. He'd be happy keep his past a secret forever, but that might not actually be possible.]

Say it turned out that I did a lot of really terrible things back in my world, what would you do?

[After all, he's never been under any illusions that the things he was doing weren't terrible, even if he hadn't felt guilty.]

<sub>[Tulio blinks, then looks apprehensive. He's not GOOD with people, exactly, but he's still fairly good at reading them, and the way Envy's acting speaks about those terrible things being Pretty Bad.]

[Which, in itself, really isn't a good sign.]</sub>

[He pauses, hesitating, before gritting his teeth and going ahead. This didn't used to be at all difficult to admit to, but then again he didn't used to care what anyone thought of him. And in this case he cares a whole lot.]

[And then, a more lowly muttered addition.] And helped start a lot of wars, too.

_{[Tulio pales. He can't help it - he's scare of death and he's scared of people causing it. That doesn't change. He licks his lips before he shakes his head, all kind of nervous, hesitating gestures, but .... he has to tell the truth.]}

I, um ... I guess I'd run. At first. _{[Beat. Then he sighs.]} But I'd regret that, see if I could find you again and, well, keep an eye on you.

If you ever try something with me or Miguel ...

_{[>:c. Still, there's, well.]}

[He winces, at both Tulio's nervousness and the admission of running, but it's what he expected, in a way. It's Tulio saying that he'd come find him again that gets Envy to look up again, clearly startled.]

[But he barely waits for Tulio to finish talking before he says, eyes narrowed but not really with anger and his words coming out in a determined rush,]

I wouldn't hurt either of you, ever.

[And honestly at this point it's more like couldn't. He exhales, a little shakily, but he's still pretty tense. He adds more quietly, in response to the last part.] And I won't.
