We've had plenty of memes about our characters in the past, so why not something a little different? After all, Pokémon is a huge part of what makes Route so special.

Claudy the Prodigal Owlbag Noctowl

Picture an ordinary day. You're like, chilling with your friend Heather, maybe thinking about grabbing a snack, and then she's all like, "Dude, I totally have some bags of chips in my bag, help yourself if you're hungry."
So you're like, why not, and head over to her bag. You open it and reach in, expecting to feel the crinkly plastic of a bag of Dodritos (tm).
Except you don't.
You feel a warm, feathered body.
Startled, you look in, and see only a pair of round red eyes staring up at you from the infernal darkness.
The eyes proceeded to do this.
And then you fall over backwards and your dickhead friend Heather is laughing her brains out.
You have just met Claudy.

Background: Claudy was the third Pokemon Heather ever caught, and was caught largely as a last resort, because she'd been sitting somewhere directly over Heather's head and making that noise in the video and who can sleep through that, it's pretty much impossible.
But aside from her occasional spurts of horrifying old-woman-in-pain sounds, Claudy was very quiet, proving to be a somewhat shy and timid Hoothoot with a love of hiding away in dark places. Like, you know, the safety of Heather's bag. This led to many, many instances of poor unsuspecting souls opening it up and coming face to face giant terrifying owl eyes and a cry of "STOP! YOU ARE UPSETTING THE OWLBAG." from Heather, who naturally found the whole thing hilarious no matter how many times it happened.
But on a more sensitive note, Claudy was named for her quiet and timid nature, which Heather found reminiscent of an old friend, back before everything went far south. Not, of course, that she ever admits this when questioned about it.

Current Relationship: Claudy eventually evolved of course, and went from being timid to simply being quiet and rather mysterious (not unlike her namesake). She can sometimes be aloof, although displays of affection for her trainer and her friends are not unusual-- she also has a motherly streak in her and is fiercely protective of any Pokemon she considers her baby, whether she laid their eggs or not (case in point: Cheryl the Eevee, who I will talk more about later.)
Her love of bags never left her, despite having grown too large to fit in her old one anymore upon evolution (though not for lack of trying). Several months later, Heather received a large sports bag as a Christmas gift, and, delighted, Claudy promptly moved into that one, despite her trainer's protests. That is where she now spends most of her time when she's not out hunting, or perching on a bedpost giving people creepy judgmental stares.

Noticeable Traits: She is the Owlbag. She is what occurs when owl and bag become one. Do not upset the Owlbag.

Plots and Ideas: Claudy is the only member of Heather's team to date to have laid eggs (which resulted in the infamous door-to-door Owl Salesmen incident in Olivine), and possesses a strong affection for her many baby Hoothoots (who all seem to inherit her love of bags).
If anyone would like an adorable baby owlbag in the future, or would simply like to have a terrifying encounter with the momma owlbag herself, let me know!

Is it crazy to say I am really amused at Claudy? Also should Chris meet up with Heather, I would defenitely be up for freaking Chris out with the Owlbag. (Though this Chris has no memories of Heather, he is a blank slate basically.)

But yes, I'd totally be up for that-- and it's okay, Heather's memory of most people who she barely knew from back at the start of the game is pretty vague, so they'll be able to start off on the same foot.

Heh. Where is Heather at the moment out of curiousity? I'm preparing for the inevitable freakout with Claudy. I'm sorta amazed at some of the personalities of Heather's pokemon. Cujo for instance sounds like a big Growlithe, one I first saw that picture I thought: tiny Arcanine.

At the moment, Heather is in Saffron City, where she'll likely be spending Christmas. I'm not sure what she'll do after the new year.

And also I'm glad you like the personalities of her Pokemon! I really enjoy writing them as characters-- and yes, as stated, he's very large for a Growlithe and is indeed mistaken as an Arcanine sometimes. XD
