The All-Purpose PokéMeme!
THE ALL PURPOSE POKéMEME
We've had plenty of memes about our characters in the past, so why not something a little different? After all, Pokémon is a huge part of what makes Route so special.
Feel free to use this meme to:
- Talk about your characters' teams!
- Plot for Pokémon CR
- Discuss any headcanon you have about certain species or Pokémon in general
- Discuss ideas for Pokémon related shenanigans
- Take suggestions if you're struggling with a Pokémon's personality, what Pokémon to get your character, or anything else!
The sky's the limit, folks, so have at it!

Chimera the Tyranitar was Envy's starter, and is still his favorite by a long shot. I pretty much designed his personality to be the exact opposite of Envy: he's friendly, gentle, steadfast, and refuses to hurt anything outside a battle (and even in battle he'll hold back a lot against a weaker opponent). He loves Envy so much you have no idea, honestly Return is probably his most formidable attack, but if he sees that Envy's doing something that might harm himself or others he'll try to put a stop to it. Especially fighting where it looks like Envy might be in danger; he was mildly traumatized as a Larvitar by seeing Greed beat the hell out of Envy in a fight and being unable to do anything about it, so now that he's big enough he will get in between anything like that immediately. Envy sees Chimera mostly as an equal partner at this point. Also he's been BFFs with Tulio's Yanmega since he was a little baby Larvitar, and his reflexes are a lot faster as a result of many games of tag.
Izumi the Tropius is the most aggressive bananasaur you ever did see. She loves battling and picking fights with other Pokemon, and she doesn't take commands from Envy at all. The most he can do with her is try to talk her into things. She does get along with some of the other team members, though, especially Samus the Lucario and Carl the Aerodactyl (who she had to teach to fly when he was younger), and Chimera because everyone gets along with Chimera. She's got a big ol' scar on the top of her head because she was a very reckless baby dinosaur who ran off to fight stronger Pokemon and got lost for three days.
Carl the Aerodactyl was adopted when he hatched by Juliet the Vaporeon, and he was convinced he was a Vaporeon himself for a little while. He'd be a lot more of a troublemaker if it weren't for her keeping him in line, and he's always on his very best behavior when she's around because he is a mama's boy. Juliet is serious and no-nonsense most of the time, thus why Envy named her after the Sloth the most serious homunculus, but she has a big soft spot for her dino baby.
Edmund the Yamask is actually the only ghost-type Envy has met on his Pokemon adventure that he actually likes having around, despite the fact that Edmund possessed him (by accident). Edmund is a total sweetheart, and extremely shy of strangers. He was a librarian in his past life, who was very devoted to his family and his job. Unfortunately, their home was broken into one night, and he was killed while trying to protect his family. As a Yamask, he can't stand battling, but he'll protect his new family too if he ever needed to. He also still loves reading, and likes to get Envy to take him to the library whenever there's one around. I'm thinking of doing a little plot with him soon involving him trying to find out whatever happened to his past life's family after he died, for closure.
General headcanon things: For the most part, I treat Envy's team as sapient, with animal behaviors. I do have them using the name-speak, but I've also got them barking and roaring and such. A lot of them are also cuddlers and/or perchers, so depending on who he's got out, Envy is liable to have at least one Pokemon sitting on him (or following very closely, depending on size) at any given time. He gave up and stopped minding it a long time ago.
