The All-Purpose PokéMeme!
THE ALL PURPOSE POKéMEME
We've had plenty of memes about our characters in the past, so why not something a little different? After all, Pokémon is a huge part of what makes Route so special.
Feel free to use this meme to:
- Talk about your characters' teams!
- Plot for Pokémon CR
- Discuss any headcanon you have about certain species or Pokémon in general
- Discuss ideas for Pokémon related shenanigans
- Take suggestions if you're struggling with a Pokémon's personality, what Pokémon to get your character, or anything else!
The sky's the limit, folks, so have at it!

Cheryl is roughly six pounds of pure sweetness and there's not a soul on Heather's team that doesn't adore her. In fact, pretty much everyone (Heather included) dotes on her quite a bit. But unlike Godzilla, she doesn't let this go to her head. She's humble, unassuming, and quite a bit more perceptive than Heather is really aware of.
Background: Out of all the Pokemon Heather's ever received, the story of Cheryl joining the team is probably the weirdest.
It all began when Heather was making her way to Goldenrod City alone, in the middle of a horrendous rainstorm. Little did she know, a pseudo-friendly acquaintance with an abundance of Eevee eggs he needed to get rid of had been intending to give one to her-- but after failing to find her in person before she left, settled for stuffing one of the eggs into her bag and promptly forgot about it. When she finally got to the Goldenrod hotel, soaked and distracted, and began to investigate the contents of her larger bag for the first time in several days for water damage... she discovered (after first removing Claudy) a tiny newborn Eevee, surrounded by crushed eggshells.
Not knowing what had transpired before her departure from Violent, Heather arrived at the only logical conclusion: her owl had somehow immaculately conceived a fox.
The fact that Claudy was pretty much convinced that the Eevee was HER BB (tm) did not help matters.
Heather still has no idea what really happened.
Current Relationship: The whole team loves Cheryl. Like, to itty bitty pieces. The Eevee is pretty much sweetness incarnate, aside from a very tiny and virtually always-harmless mischievous streak. Even Arty is marginally less grumpy towards her than anyone else. Cheryl is particularly close to Claudy (who she pretty much considers to be her mommy, and the feeling is mutual) and Alessa, with whom Cheryl acts as both an eternally-patient little sister as well as a bit of a grounding force when Alessa gets too bitter or stressed.
Heather, for her part, loves Cheryl too, but lately has been experiencing some worries about, specifically concerning the fact that Eevees are supposed to evolve via happiness, but Cheryl (despite seeming perfectly happy and having been on the team for a long period of time) has shown no signs of evolving whatsoever. Little does Heather know, this is deliberate on the part of the Eevee, who has noticed how uncomfortable Heather seems to be around canine Pokemon (Cujo being the big exception). Serenely, the little Eevee has decided to wait before evolving in hopes of ensuring that her trainer is comfortable with it before it happens.
Noticeable Traits: Unlike most Eevees, Cheryl's fennec-like ears... don't seem to WORK. Rather than standing up and swiveling around, they hang limply and drag on the ground like a lop-rabbit's. They're also a little larger than normal, making things even worse. She trips on them often, but doesn't seem to mind. No one knows why this is, but Heather suspects it might be because of the rough, bouncy trip the egg experienced from Violet to Goldenrod in that jam-packed bag.
Plots and Ideas: I don't have any particular plans for Cheryl outside of, eventually (if Heather makes her way back to Ecruteak at any point), Heather going to the Kimono Sisters with her evolution concerns. But if anyone's interested in plotting with this Pokemon, have at it!
