Love Meme

It's December, guys! The month of togetherness, family, love,
1. Post with a list of your characters, similar to on the game-wide HMD.
2. Reply to others, and tell them everything you think is awesome about them.
3. Spread the love!

Carmen though, wow, can I gush about how impressed I am with how you play her? Right down to her unique Porygon to all of the riddles! If you told me someone was playing Carmen in a game, I would have laughed because it would seem like an one shot with no real passion behind it. You though? Your love for her shines through every post as an example and you're really REALLY damn good at what you do.
So thanks for the pleasant nostalgia with her <3 You're doing great and I love to see her around!

And gosh, I just. THANK YOU, I am really so flattered that so many people like her and enjoy playing off of her! I love every thread I do with her and you've all been so great to play with too, it's just been a really lovely experience and I never want to let her go. I MUST THROW HER EVERYWHERE, OBVIOUSLY. ♥
(and at Saber more often somehow.)

And if it wasn't for Albert and Cooper, I wouldn't have gotten into the mindfuck that is Twin Peaks.
I love our CR, across all the characters, and that you're so on board with characters being at odds with each other (in my case, Albert and Mio's general conversations, and her mildly antagonistic nature towards Carmen as she tries to work out FEELINGS).
I love talking with you and babbling to you about canon things and I really want more cr with Yagyuu because I know nothing about PoT but he's precious with his little Eevee army.

And yes, I like character conflict a lot! I mean, hell, I play Albert, that's practically what I signed on for on that one, but I like it when there's that kind of disconnect. It makes conversations so much more interesting.
Thank you so much!

And though I'm unfamiliar with Twin Peaks, the distinctiveness and clear voice from Albert are enjoyable as well.

And if you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend Twin Peaks! I got into it myself because of our Coop and as you can see I liked it so much I apped from it and here I am. I'm glad you like Albert; he's a pretty unlikeable guy and I love him for it, so I'm glad other people are enjoying him too despite that.

I've only interacted with Yagyuu and Carmen, but they've both left me really impressed with you as an rper! Especially Carmen - her posts are so informative and nostalgia-invoking of the notes and clues from Carmen Sandiego in the games and the television show that it's perfect, and I love how detailed your roster for her - and Yagyuu, and from what I've seen Albert! Actually, the last comment from Zack really made me happy, with the searching for the term lusus? I'm not sure why, but that little detail just seemed neat and interesting and I like that you're the sort of person who would include that!
You're also aces at poetry, and just seem to put so much into your characters, they're all very engaging and super fun to read!
So yes, <3!

Oh, see, and now you've gone and mentioned Zack, which is dangerous because I like to talk about my little cybernetic tinybird. One of the things I like to work in where I can with Zack is the thought that, y'know, he's a computer bird, he's very decidedly not human despite being able to interact socially and make dumb jokes and stuff, and he's much more attuned to computers than your standard Pokemon; he's less animal and more AI, in my perspective. In my headcanon he actually spends the vast majority of his time inside Carmen's Gear because that's where he's most comfortable, and sometimes I have him make subtle remarks that hint at that — when we had the Suddenly Anonymous event back in September, he panicked because suddenly "all his friends were gone", because the network had glitched and he couldn't see their IDs anymore. Or when he doesn't know a word he'll run his little worddef.exe program and try to define it. He's got a handful of little programs he's written for himself that way that sometimes come up ICly: worddef.exe is the most frequent because it's the "I don't understand a word, what does it mean" response, but he also has pingbot.exe that he uses as a sort of extremely rudimentary GPS, and then with Aradia now searchbot.exe has come up to let him do a quick scan of old chat logs on the network. He's also written an antivirus for Carmen from back when we had the powers plot (everyone was getting sick and he was worried about her so he wrote her a kickass antivirus to install on herself to protect her), his music-editing software which is basically Audacity, and now the voice-changer program he released for Christmas. Being part computer is a big part of who he is, and I like to show that off when I get the chance because it makes him different from most other Pokemon, and it's a difference I like to highlight.
And thank you so much! ♥

And while I haven't really bounced off of Albert and am totally canon blind, he's fun to stalk, and his overall attitude is hilarious to see in contrast to all the people who are totally gung-ho about Pokémon friendships and all that jazz.
And Dummy is an adorable Scyther.

You know, when I apped Albert I knew going in that he was going to be That Guy who hated everything about Johto and called to light all the ridiculous stuff about it, and it made me excited as hell. I love throwing Pokemon shenanigans at him and making him boggle at them, and having him demand sense out of Johto where there often is none. It's great for comedy and it's fun to be a grumpy cantankerous old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn, even if it means he basically has no friends because of it.
ALAS POOR DUMMY. He tries so hard. Unfortunately he's also a bug so higher cognitive functions are not exactly a thing with him always, but he's pretty good with simple and basic ideas and concepts, even if he doesn't always grasp the complex ones.

So glad we have the CR we have! Astrid needs to talk to Carmen more.

Oh, here we go.
Alex, because of you and Din, I'm into Twin Peaks. I was only peripherally aware of it before. Albert and Carmen are both dramatically different, yet you still manage to keep them both perfectly IC. I love all of our CR (seriously, you should see me grin when I see I have a tag from you), and you should never, ever feel like you're bugging me. You usually show up with some idea that never occurred to me, and I'm nothing if not excited for new ideas (and threads. New threads too).
And on a personal note, I wanna say that you're nice to talk to OOCly too, because you're always a sweetheart, no matter what we're talking about, and it's great. <33 Stay awesome, Alex.

I admire you a lot, both your opinions and ideas and creativity, but I think I value you even more, because I feel like I can always count on you, be it when dissecting Serious Stuff or just to pull something absolutely hilariously stupid to make everything a bit more awesome.
And you're a wonderful writer, player and castmate. You're really really cool.
... and I could play you competently.
B)
that's how much I like you.

ICly, you're a great canonmate. OOCly, you've already proven both a great friend and a wonderful influence (as well as a font of hella impressive knowledge). I'm so glad you helped enable me. ♥

I pretty much love every single thread I’ve had with your characters, and you’re awesome to talk with on Plurk too. And if it wasn’t for your Albert and Din’s Cooper, I probably wouldn’t have gotten around to watching Twin Peaks yet. Which would've been bad.
Please don’t ever stop being awesome.

You are an incredible writer, first and foremost. The way you string words together is always creative and interesting, and you can do everything from the humorous to the solemn in ways that I never find stale or boring.
And on top of that, dude, your characterization? INCREDIBLE. You're playing characters who I have literally never seen anybody else take on, one because they're obscure and two because they're DIFFICULT. You play Carmen Sandiego both as a gimmicky edutainment figure (flawlessly, I might add-- that shit is HARD and I never understand how you have the patience to do so much research and keep it interesting) AND as a fully-fleshed-out, interesting woman with depth and pathos. You play ALBERT, whose snark is probably damn hard to keep on top of. But you do it anyway. I just can't even comprehend that. It's awesome.
You just put so much thought into everything and you're always bursting with new ideas and that is amazing.
