Blurb: Norman is a criminal profiler for the FBI who carries his own baggage of problems; He's taken from the "good ending" of the game where everyone wins but Norman still has to deal with his own demons afterwards. The guy is a tad bit socially awkward but quick-witted. Also prone to getting his ass kicked around a bunch of times so take that as you will.

Plans: ~~PROJECT POWERPOINT~~ The Survival Guide for Beginners is still in the works. The plan is to have the thing done by the end of January or the second week of February the latest. I was actually thinking about making an OOC post sometime this week about it but I'm totally cool with hashing out the details here as well. Right now, I got a rough outline done based on all the IC-suggestions/comments from Norman's post. The next step is to actually write the thing out. I AM STILL OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS on what should be in it, ~~which pieces of clipart to use~~, anything I should consider, etc. The purpose of this is to be a mini-group project so hey-- the more the merrier!

I keep meaning to contribute some slides/suggestions for glorious clipart to this. Albert's really not one for wilderness survival, but he'd want in on the project somehow anyway, if you have any ideas for things that need doing that he could cover?

Hm, maybe Albert can help with the "DON'T TOUCH THIS" section. We got the whole berries thing down pat so maybe certain plants and/or pokemon people should be wary of?

He could do that! He's been doing research into poisons and the various spores that Pokemon tend to use in Johto, so he's sort of an expert when it comes to JESUS CHRIST THAT'S A PARAS DON'T STEP ON IT LORD ALMIGHTY and so on.

Or he could write a furious jeremiad about the one-way ledges and why they are stupid.

That too.

One-way ledges. Hands down. Someone has to break the bad news to these people.

Haha but seriously though, whichever you want to do. Both are equally pressing issues in Johto/Kanto.

These two seemed to get along well. Apollo is definitely willing to give more information about nature if needed. He can't write anything down for Norman though since he's illiterate and is only kind of poking away at learning to read.

Yeah for sure! I'm really enjoying what him and Apollo got going on so far. Given their vastly different backgrounds, I think these two can get a lot from each other as far as this project goes. But we can definitely work around the whole 'writing things down' bit. We don't have to play it out per se but Apollo can always dictate what he knows and Norman can just jot it down on his own.

I'm definitely interested in Apollo contributing to Science! here, which isn't exactly something he'd be looking into at all. Anything in particular Norman needs info on or Apollo to try and get video of?

Hm, well they were talking about plants for quite a bit. Maybe Apollo can cover the first aid bit of it? Which herbs are good to treat cuts or cover them up when there is no bandaid available...that sort of thing?

He can certainly tell Norman about that. Trouble is all the snow and it being winter and all that, which is why he didn't bring it up directly when they talked. It's more of a "for future reference" thing, rather than a "winter survival" thing unless you're a Nature Hero like Apollo is, but he'd be willing to explain all that if asked.

Ooooh right. Haha I forgot about that! Yeah that was the first thing that popped into my head. The main two things I can think when it comes to winter survival right now are building a shelter and building/maintaining a fire. He could actually use a second opinion on the whole setting up camp thing.

But if there is something you think Apollo would like to show him then I'm cool with that too. c:
