Ah, but is he going to be completely open about such status? He's not going to exactly hide it, but I doubt he's going to be proclaiming that he's a rocket grunt everywhere either. Heh.

Seriously I do want these two to interact some way some how, although for now Chase is likely just going to be working the game corner in Goldenrod so... Might not happen for a while.

Fair point. xD He wouldn't be like Ren who walked right into admitting he was one in their first conversation. That...will still earn him linefaces, though. Honest and all that.

It will probably take a while, though. Lightning is not only avoiding Goldenrod for a time due to the Raid and keeping her head down, but she hasn't been anywhere near the Game Corner since Cobra tried to blow the place up. Not the type for games, unfortunately. >> Maybe in some other city would work better.

Yeah I have to keep Chase from getting Goldenstuck, even if he wants information more than anything right now instead of just acting blindly for TR. orz;

Said cat wants to learn all the things too, so even if Chase is frustrating to talk to his Meowth won't be. Well, once her human-speak is understandable.

And true, 4th walling is a thing that could happen! The real question is when. Though, he might also start asking about things like legendary pokemon on his own since curiousity. Or people capable in martial arts since he'd get bored and stomping someone in it would help him have a reason to keep training even if said stomping is too easy sob
