He'll probably end up regaling his attempt to teach Moombas English to her too, just as a warning.
But, yes, he'll also try and teach any of her Pokemon, if she happens to be around. Of course, it'll be a long process, but it's like raising a kid!

All noted - I can imagine her most encouraging Katya to learn to speak, if on slightly silly, tenuous grounds that the one Pokémon who could talk in the cartoon was a cat, so well now that might be a good place to start.
