I'm glad to hear it! Who better to train Heather than the woman who can punch through solid flesh and bone? Even though she can't do it any more.

As do I! I never can resist a good snark off.

SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN. Heather's more used to just hitting things with sharp objects (or shooting them) until they stop moving-- all her actual sparring tactics are what you'd expect of a scrappy-but-nonprofessional teen, although she's gotten training tips from a few soldiers before. NEVER AN ASSASSIN THOUGH so!

Snark-offs are the best, most of the time Heather just harasses annoyed people so it's always fun when someone actually finds her amusing.
begetsvengeance: (Let's take a trip down memory lane)

Heh, well if Heather shows at least a little potential, I'm sure Jeane wouldn't mind taking her under her wing with enough nagging convincing. Besides, having a kid around to beat up spar with will keep her in shape and at her best, so it'll be beneficial to both parties!

Yeah, Jeane tends to snark her way through most conversations, so having someone play along with her is always fun. Chances are Jeane will see a little bit of herself in Heather but that might not necessarily be a good thing.

Also...I just realized that both her and Jeane are Gen VI Battle Girls.
foolishwren: who is she (where did that other dog come from)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2013-02-14 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, fortunately Heather will show more than a little potential, considering she hacked and slashed her way through probably hundreds of monsters and also killed God, she's just more used to fighting out of sheer desperation than she is fighting in more... controlled ways, I guess? BUT YEAH I'd definitely love them to end up doing that, EVERYBODY WINS.

And haha EXCELLENT. Good or bad, I can definitely see that.

.... OH MAN I totally forgot that I gave Heather that trainer class hahaha. One of the first things she did in the game was throw away the booty-shorts and then she wound up battling somebody and demanding their pants instead of money. GOOD TIMES.
begetsvengeance: (that I can't ignore)

Well good! Then Jeane DEFINITELY take her on, if only to shut her up and also for shits and giggles. Plus, traveling alone is boring as hell and having someone to argue with like an old married couple will be hilarious.

THEN IT'S SETTLED.

Jeane just looked like her new outfit and was like "eh, I wear less on a daily basis anyway" so she just shrugged and kept it. That said, beating someone and taking their pants sounds like it must've been hilarious!
foolishwren: yeah well it's AN answer ("violence isn't the answer")

[personal profile] foolishwren 2013-02-16 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
HAHA EXCELLENT. I can't promise that Heather will be able to travel WITH Jeane (she travels with her father and adopted-brother, neither of whom are as... physically fit as she is) but I'd like to get her moving around a little more anyway so we can see about coordinating them running into each other and/or meeting up for fights. She can also Fly solo for short trips if she has to.

But HAHAHAH her attitude sounds great. Heather's no prude or anything, but the thought of hiking through the WILDERNESS in bootyshorts just made her go ":I no."
The fight was pretty great, I think it's waaaaaaay back in the very beginning of the Route log comm somewhere. Neither participant really knew what they were doing so the hilarity was like 100%
begetsvengeance: (but don't cry like a bitch)

WELL IF YOU WANT Jeane can totally follow Heather, but if asked she'll just say that Heather is following her and that's because she's ~so nice~ she allows it. Bonus points if we do this and Heather calls her out on it, leading into an argument over who's leading who.

YEAH, Jeane more or less just shrugs most things off. It's just in her nature.

And even though it does seem like a pain to find, I'll probably end up looking for this log anyway, because again; it sounds bloody hilarious.
foolishwren: whud (WHUD)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2013-02-18 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
... PFFFF OH GOD that would actually be pretty hilarious. Heather wasn't lying about the fact that she's needed to change identities to escape pursuers before so as you can imagine she and her family are pretty paranoid. I CAN SEE THIS LEADING TO ARGUMENTS VERY EASILY which will be hilarious. Of course, I assume that Jeane is good enough to make it look like she's not OVERTLY following but more of a 'oh look we keep running into each other' thing.

Oh man it's ancient so I can't speak to its quality, but it should be way back towards the beginning of the Route log archive since it happened right around when the game opened.
begetsvengeance: (when you feel the pain!)

[personal profile] begetsvengeance 2013-02-18 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
WELL WHAT I MEANT IS JEANE TAGGING ALONG but if you want her to be a total not!creeper I guess I can be down for that too. Maybe.

And don't worry about it! God knows my early work is terrible and I would throw it in the fire without another thought; I doubt yours is half as bad.
foolishwren: i was listening to mumford and sons and the banjo solo really went off (sorry i was speeding officer)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2013-02-19 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
OH hahaha sorry, DURR. But uh, hm. The thing about the Silent Hill gang is that they're ... a little wary of strangers, basically? Heather's the most outgoing one of the bunch, and would likely have a hard time convincing (or being convinced) her dad to let a stranger openly tag along with them...
BUT I'm definitely game for them bumping into each other deliberately or not-so-deliberately. Do you have a Plurk? I can ping my castmates there and we can try and work something out.

But ROFL TRUE, everybody starts somewhere. XD I haven't read my old stuff in literally a year or so, maybe I should go back and take a look and see if it's as derpy as I think it is.
begetsvengeance: (but it's the little petty shit)

[personal profile] begetsvengeance 2013-02-19 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that totally makes sense. I mean "Hey dad, this assassin is going to train me to kick ass, can she follow us?" prooooooobably isn't gonna go over well with her family.

Ah! Yes, I do! It's right over here.

And that sounds like a good idea to me! If you do find 'em, feel free to send a link my way, I'd love to read them.
foolishwren: It is time for Others Harm (I am done with self-care)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2013-02-20 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
HAHA YEP. Especially since they have a history of being aggressively pursued by very shady people-- her father actually canonically killed somebody for breaking into their house and trying to kidnap her (AND, years later, was murdered in his own home before Heather could get there to save him). THEY ARE SUPER PARANOID.

But excellent, added! We can discuss it at some point soon. c:
