While I haven't played Skyward Sword, what I do know tells me that you're pretty spot-on with this guy. It's fun to throw Links at each other and chuckle at the resulting confusion, and it's a real treat to know someone who's as versed in Zelda as I am. This is the first time I've posted on one of these things in awhile.

Actually, it feels like the first one we've HAD in awhile!

But anyway, uh... this place has grown so much since I first joined it the May before last. It's hard to put into words what it, and everyone in it, means to me, so I'll try not to tl;dr too much on you guys. But to make a long story short, I feel like I've grown so much here, and even though I can't tag every single post like I used to back in Route's baby days, I see people playing and having fun and it just makes me so happy that I've gotten to watch it grow up.

Since coming to Dreamwidth, we've seen both a crop of lovely new players and the loss of quite a few of our old ones. Well-- new or old, every single one of you brings or has brought something special to this place, and every single tag I have ever gotten from any of you is nothing short of an honor. That sounds really dramatic and I wish I could think of a way to dial it down without losing the gravitas, but that really is how I think of it.

SO... I LOVE YOU, ROUTE. I love everyone who's still here, and I love the players who helped me grow up with this game but aren't with us anymore. There are days when I just go back and reread all the old threads (even ones none of my characters were involved in!) that made me laugh or choke up so hard and the fact that they can still make me so stupidly emotional when they're long over just tells me that what people have done in this game will always be special. I just wish I could give even a fraction back of what you guys have all given me, and given this game.


Of course, something this cheesy can only be saved by including a corny 90's pop song.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not always the most proactive player. As a mod, sure, I am more than happy to take the reigns, but oftentimes I struggle to get my characters in the leadership roles. Meanwhile, you so effortlessly slide your characters into projects and show a whole ton of initiative on a grassroots level, which is something I am consistently impressed by. You're also very sweet and down-to-earth to talk to and I am so glad to have you and Yosuke around. I think Route would be just a little different without him. ♥

As for Yosuke himself, I can't really tell you if he's IC or not, but damn--I know you know your stuff, and it shows. He's so real, you write him like he could jump out of the screen and be any regular teenager, talking. He's got real issues, not forced or stilted. You're such a fast tagger that threads with him are not only pleasant, they're a breeze! Thanks for being here with us so long.

Hey, Route, Ara-mod here.

I joined this game pretty innocuously eighteen months ago. I was looking for a place to play Leon, I love pokemon, and the KH cast and premise looked great, so I decided to hop in. One of the best damn decisions I've ever made, if I do say so myself.

I love it here. I love each and every one of you, from our little newbies to those of you I recognize from my first stuttering days. Even when I can't express it properly, even when times are rough. This game means so much to me, it's my home to come back to when work stresses me out or I just need comfort. Like pulling on a favorite pair of jeans (that one pair that makes you look like, ten pounds lighter) or wrapping yourself in a warm blanket, Route and its players never fail to give me warm, happy feelings.

When I applied to mod this place, I was nervous, had little experience but a lot of enthusiasm--and while sure, modding has its ups and downs, I have more and more fun here every single day. You've all taught me so much, and I hope I can continue to grow, as a mod, writer and a person, alongside you special bunch.

A special thank-you to everyone who puts up with my sometimes sluggish tagging, my flakiness, and who builds CR with my grumpy lion, aggressive demon, and newly-fledged witch, either now or in the future.

Your Leon is easily the best I've ever played with, and that actually doesn't say enough. I love the way you capture his depth and dimension, not just focusing on a single facet of who he is. It's great seeing one of the adults with Kingdom Hearts logic, and I enjoy how well you pull that off. In short, I need no other Leon...and I'm looking forward to more of him and Lightning being cute ♥

I don't know DMC well, but I'd played with one other Nero previously. Between you, I think he's an awesome guy and great to bounce off of. He's got a very dynamic presence that makes him easy to poke at and respond to, and I'll be throwing more derp in his general direction for as long as he puts up with it ♥

You guys are amazing. I apped in almost a year ago, and though there are times I look back and regret not being more active you guys in general are the most patient and helpful bunch I've come across on the internet in a long time. Route was my first panfandom LJ game, and I count it as my first REAL game experience. Having come over from the B/C on Gaia you guys have just... AMAZED me by reminding me of what the RP experience is supposed to be about, that you can have SO MUCH fun with a text based game and some icons outside of one-on-one IM role-play, I had genuinely forgotten what that felt like. THANK YOU guys for letting me share this. I'm not even joking when I say I've been so much less stressed and have been having a blast here.
