aw man aw man I creeped upon Namsoon's bio some time ago and I gotta say, I am so incredibly intrigued by his canon. Like, I haven't watched a huge amount of k-dramas, but I definitely have a Thing for stuff that deals with young people and relationships and growing up and all of those things, so. Yeah. THAT DOESN'T HAVE A LOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING, ACTUALLY, but I figured I'd mention it just because. Anyway, I'm totally down with Namsoon and Yusuke being buds! Yusuke is never not in need of more guy friends who can put up with his shit and banter back and forth with him, so I reckon they could learn to get along with each other just great once Yusuke's done accusing Namsoon of accessorizing his weasel. ... wow that whole exchange sounds rly inappropriate when you put it like that. AHEM.

(Also, I doubt it would come up right away, but it looks like Yusuke and Namsoon even have the alcoholic parent in common, right? To be fair, Yusuke here tends not to be very shy about bringing up his mom in kind of a light-hearted, joking sort of way (like "lol oh, the smell of alcohol, feels just like home!!"), and he still loves her enough to want to be there for her and totally ruin anyone who talks badly about her, but idk. It's definitely caused him a lot of grief, so I figure that if their bro-level got high enough this could possibly be something they could commiserate with one another on at a later point? Even if it's only as a sort of an aside or in a really nonchalant, ~manly~ "lol w/e" sort of way. Like, I seriously doubt Yusuke knows very many other people who would really be able to, you know, get what living with an addict is like, so. Yeah. I DUNNO, I AM JUST THROWIN' OUT IDEAS~*~ I've got a lot of feelings about Yusuke and his relationship with his mom, so this pinged me super hard.)

And yes, that would be great! I was actually thinking of asking you the same thing, haha. I'm not sure how on board Yusuke will be with the whole Pokemon training + catching thing at first, given how inclined he is towards just beatin' up everything himself, but I think eventually he'll warm up to it. Probably after the first couple of times he nearly gets his butt handed to him by a giant flower or sth :I

School 2013 is so great at young people & relationships & growing up *u* There are a lot of good kdramas that I wouldn't recommend to people who aren't already into kdramas, but this is one that I think non-kdrama fans would also be able to enjoy and empathize with a lot!! (and ngl I love talking about kdramas so any excuse to is great in my books, haha)

totally preparing myself for an epic bromance to unfold *u* I think it might take a while for them to warm up to each other, but from the looks of it I think they'd get along well after working out any initial awkwardness o/ also Namsoon will probably think the weasel in a dress thing is hilarious about 10 seconds after the topic is resolved :')

oh whoa, the alcoholic parent situation is definitely something they have in common and deal with in similar ways :( he definitely tries to not let it get to him much, but if the topic ever came up he would definitely feel relieved being able to talk it over with somebody in a similar position!

They can gently push each other into it or something :')b maybe by having a little bit of healthy competition over it or something like that? (Namsoon will be all :I because his starter has the type disadvantage to Yusuke's though, haha)

I think the only k-drama I've actually watched in its entirety is Hero, and that is because I saw Lee Joon Gi in the movie "The King and the Clown" and thought he was brilliant (and also really, really good-looking, dang). :') I started on Iljimae for the same reason, but then just. Never got around to actually finishing it. WHOOPS.

And you sure can!! Just don't mind me if I seem to flounder a bit; like I said, I've never actually used Plurk, so uh. Yeah. BUT ANYWAY yes of course do it o/

ooh, what did you think of it? :o I usually only watch recent dramas so Hero is a little out of my usual range, but I googled it and the premise is pretty cool *u*

I liked it! I mean, apparently the ratings for it weren't all that stellar when it initially aired - I think it had a similar time slot as IRIS at the time? - but ~WHATEVER, I thought it was good. Like, the plot isn't super creative or unique, what with the Back-Stabbing, Gangsters and Dead / Estranged Parents all over the place, but it's really funny and cute when it's not, uh, punching you in the gut or totally ripping your heart out, and the acting is also pretty great. So yeah, I recommend it if you ever have the time to check it out!

P.S. SINCE THEY ARE NOW TRAVELING TOGETHER I THOUGHT PERHAPS YOU SHOULD KNOW-- on their way to Cherrygrove City, Yusuke will probably be getting/have gotten mauled by a Heracross (which he would've later caught during the struggle). Given that Namsoon will obviously will within the same general area when this is going on, idk if he and Yeon would want to help Puu/Swablu bail Yusuke out of the situation or just, you know, listen to him when he undoubtedly yells at them to ~STAY BACK 'CAUSE I CAN HANDLE THIS~. I was going to ping you on Plurk about it but the character limit for PMing there is so short and I am so very long-winded aksd;fk

ANYWAY. I'm thinking what happened was, Puu accidentally annoyed Heracross whilst up in a Headbutt tree giving Yusuke the silent treatment (again), and Yusuke, not quite realizing that Puu has a double type advantage to Heracross and could therefore handle fighting her on its own, went HEY LEAVE HIM ALONE and flung a shoe or sth at her and got put on the receiving end of Giant Beetle Wrath. Because the only one who can mess with his dumb bird is him, okay >:|

that sounds beautiful :') he'll probably only step in if it seems like Yusuke really needs the help? he understands the pride (but that won't stop him from making fun of him a little while offering to help patch up any bruises that may have accumulated from the incident :Db )

oh also!! I'm planning on having Namsoon go to the prom, idk if you were with Yusuke or not? Afterwards I was probably just going to have him go to Violet City for that first gym challenge o/

Excellent! Namsoon is free to make fun of him all he wants - someone's gotta do it, haha. Yusuke'll just be. Grumpy, in response. As is generally the case, I think.

And I am indeed! idk what his plans will be afterwards at this point, but if Namsoon's going back to Violet, he probably will too. ~gotta stick together, etc.~
