Hey now, Mythbusters proved that you can still teach an old dog new tricks. XD

Apollo's lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle his whole life so he doesn't feel the need to be fancy about things. The main difference in their experiences seems to be that Geddoe's used to traveling and occasionally encountering civilization, or at least other people in non-hostile situations, whereas Apollo's used to having at most one other human around and a base camp to return to every night, so he didn't have experience finding or setting up campsites before he came here.

Apollo was raised by his Grandpa, so my assumption is that it was a result of his Grandpa not thinking to mention it, since they were both guys and no girls were around. I'm still trying to avoid him walking around town naked, but in the case of going swimming I have no choice but to bring it up otherwise I'm being OOC, since he's shown on-screen as taking that approach (granted, Silvia looking up and discovering that she's at eye-level with his junk is a pretty funny scene). One of those awkward situations in RPing I guess. ^_^;

Never said you couldn't, just GOOD LUCK talking him into it. He's not in any rush to get anywhere, either, which is also a big part of the problem. XD

And yeah, Geddoe's used to both types of living, though he seems to be a little more comfortable in the grasslands than in the heart of civilization, and prefers the sort of border town type of place. Apollo would honestly probably remind him of some Grasslander kid who's never been to a big city before, so he'd probably actually mention a thing or two since he doesn't have the rest his team from home around to do it for him.

Apollo isn't usually in a big rush to get anywhere, but Flying Is Awesome and he wants to do more of it. Maybe Geddoe will change his mind once he sees the Ice Path? ...I doubt it.

Apollo wouldn't understand they "why" behind it, but he'd go along with it anyways, just like he goes along with wearing shoes to go into stores even though he thinks it's stupid. It's just one of those "weird civilization things" to him.

So when is Geddoe planning on hitting the road?

Who knows. XD He might try the flying thing eventually, it just still seems odd to him that such relatively small pokemon can supposedly carry full-grown humans...

Well, he's won his badge, so probably either whenever he manages to earn some extra money (if there's any work to be had in the area he'd care to do) or runs out of money (if there isn't any suitable work and he's been hitting up the bar). So basically anytime within the next couple weeks. He's in no rush if left to his own devices, but if the subject of leaving for Blackthorn happens to come up he'd probably decide to do.

He's a big drinker? Or just has nothing better to do? btw, Apollo has five cans of cheap beer sitting around in his cave, courtesy of the Yamask possession incident a while back. He hates the taste, so he'd be more than willing to give them to Geddoe if he wants them.

I can just say that Apollo's trying out doing a few weeks of work at once so he doesn't have to think about it later instead of just one week whenever he needs money. He's working at the Pokémon Center, if you're wondering.

Feel free to PM this account when Geddoe decides to leave so we can avoid any continuity snarls, assuming it doesn't come up in any threads first.

He's a mercenary. That kind of speaks for itself. XD Though he doesn't drink as much as the rest his team (or at least, he doesn't get as DRUNK as them), so it's probably a little of both. Beer is good, and there's not much ELSE for a merc to do between missions. :|b

And sounds good! Geddoe... would definitely not go for working at the pokemon center unless someone talked him into it, because he is SO not a people person, but he might hang around town for a bit one way or another. Check out the Lake of Rage, maybe fish up some magikarp to sell to trainers too lazy to catch their own, idk. XD

True. XP

Apollo isn't really either, but he's a Pokémon person, so it's the better option for him. He's picking up a lot about pokémedicine at least.

And how lazy can trainers be? XD

Yeah Geddoe's just.... Geddoe. He doesn't really even socialize with his pokemon all that much, though obviously he gets along with them. :|b

YOU'D BE SURPRISED I mean the magikarp salesman presumably makes a profit....
