Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Meme

If you've never played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon before, here's the skinny:
1) Your character wakes up.
2) To their surprise, they've mysteriously become a Pokemon! Oh no!
3) ... Wow. There's no humans anywhere. What do?
4) Better head up to the Wigglytuff Rescue Guild so that you'll have a warm place to sleep while you figure out what's up!
5) ????
6) PROFIT


Your character is now an Exploration Team rookie, vying for the best exploration missions and forming friendships with fellow team-mates! Decide what Pokemon your character has become and get cracking! Go on missions, get to know your partner(s), butt heads with potential rivals, or maybe just try to slack off or sneak a bite to eat from the kitchen without getting caught by Chatot or Chimecho! IT'S ALL UP TO YOU.

Have Laguna-Flareon, just looking at the job board himself a bit (He... hasn't noticed her, it seems). Except, really - he's looking for escort missions, to try and help out some younger Pokemon. That's the way he rolls.]
Hmm - wonder if this one's safe enough?

[Hi, Laguna. You'll be getting a sigh, and once she sees where he's looking, she looks at him. She's seen him with some of the kids a couple times, and can guess at what he's trying to do.]

If you're looking for safe, stay in town. Even D-Ranks can be risky if you're not careful.

[Of if you have the reputation of getting lost like this guy does.]

[Laguna looks to her - well, at least they're wrapped up in this together! But he gives a bit of a frown - it's not like he'd had to be rescued already after stumbling into the Zero Isles or anything b-baka!]
I can protect myself - I'm just a little worried about the younger Pokemon, that's all.

[Yep, they're all stuck and Lightning's not happy about this. Not one bit. As if they didn't have enough trouble already...especially if he picked anything higher than a C-Rank and had to be call for another rescue. Etro she still remembers that last one! Took all day to get his furry butt to safety.

She does, however, reach up and pluck a mission listing--A one star in the Brine Cave--from the board. If he's that worried, fine. Let him keep the little ones busy.]

If they're that antsy, don't go higher than a C-Rank. There was one in Apple Woods earlier. Might still be here, and it shouldn't be any trouble for you.

[He turns, to look over the bill she picked-- hm. That looks a little too dangerous for just her - she's smaller then him, after all. (Even if he's a fire-type.) Maybe she could ride him around just like how his flareon and pichu interact off-screen haha]

[Some small part of her appreciates the offer, as crazy as it is, but she shakes her head anyway. She's handled worse on her own--the benefit of being so small and fast is she's nearly impossible to hit sometimes.]

Brine Cave's full of water types, Laguna. It wouldn't be "safe" for you.
[She flicks an ear back, the Pichu-counterpart to raising an eyebrow...or the Lightning-Pichu counterpart, at least.] Unless you think I can't handle myself.

Well, I mean, you could - but what if you collapsed down there? Uh, because Pichu aren't as strong as some of these other Pokemon.
[Plus, he totally has Dig - that'd protect him from some attacks, at least...?]

If I collapse, my badge brings me back here after a day without rescue. [spoken from experience, before she got the hang of this.] I've taken tougher missions and come back in one piece, you know. This isn't my first trip out there.
