CR / PLOT WITH ME MEME

Hi Route! There have been a lot of drops lately, and now that the train has left the station, it's high time we get to making up for lost CR and establishing some new stuff. Which is to say--

CR / PLOTTING MEME

It's self explanatory, right?

Now have a thing to copy paste, courtesy of our last one!

And don't be afraid to poke people you've never threaded with before! Or even just use this to get new pals on plurk or aim, for future plotting. That's what these kind of things are for, after all.

MUN
Name: Pheebs
Contact: aim (nonconnaissance) or plurk (freeforaphee)
What you're looking for: In-game adventures and quests! Long-term CR building! I could say romantic or friendly or hostile... But my favs can always be summed up in "it's complicated".

Character
Name + Journal + Series: Mutou Yuugi ([personal profile] kingofgamecorner) • YU-GI-OH! Manga
Location Goldenrod City
Blurb: Yuugi's a game whiz in many forms - his series focuses on Duel Monsters, but he's shown to master near anything, with the right motivation. A friendly introvert, he's not prone to reaching out without a reason, but he'd all but certainly welcome anyone into his circle.
Plans: I plan to enjoy his bafflement at learning to be a breeder, in general, which covers his goal to work at the Centre (working that out), and befriend/train his team, as their personalities dictate. There's also a planned long term arc for him to obsess on mastering the game corner, maybe even one day plan a trip to Celadon to play in the Kanto base. But I want to double check facts with mods before I tackle that. (Oh, and other in-game games? He'd jump on them.)

On the CR/Plot with others side, I'd love to dropkick Yuugi into other people's ambitions. As a character he doesn't stir trouble on his own, but he'd meet anything thrown at him, and even more important? Drown himself in solving problems any friends drop in his lap.

So. Anyone want a helping hand with their own characters' issues? Or a surprisingly difficult target for a Rocket? (Er, another Rocket?)

I poked Fran about this on her entry but - if Malik is surrounded by eggs and thinks he stands a chance at some not being missed, he might try to set up an egg black market for Rockets, to exchange them for information or services. Would that be okay with you/feasible for Yuugi to not notice?

Aside from that/if that's not okay, I plan on thoroughly enjoying having his to live with Mutou Yuugi, grinning, and bearing it. <3 So any hilariously awkward situations you & Yuugi can put him in, I am all for.

Hello~

I got a quick peek on your exchange, so if you want my two cents on egg thief- I also vote in on Yuugi keeping good tabs on his eggs... But, I was thinking! There's supposed to be wiggle room on how many eggs each batch has, soooo if Malik gets in fast, learns how many are expected, he could snatch on a larger one, make Yuugi think it was smaller. x3 MOMO and the Mommy might know, but hey. We could play on that distress confusion?

...if that doesn't say, I'm for it. Or at least the drama it causes!

Buuuut on my own thoughts for the situation possibilities... Of course I like milking any chance to taunt Malik with his own scheme. x3 Have Yuugi in situations he would before attack him in, like alone on a trip, or sans Pokemon.

And then there's Pokemon-in-scene irony. Perhaps having playing-games-together tension (wiiiith Bakura to make them subtle?). Or "actually getting along what" conflict.

Oooor long-term. I laugh at Yuugi, picturing him sometime sleeping and naming Isis or Rishid. xD

Ooh, possibly! Since both of them are such attentive breeders I'm not sure how feasible this plan is, but Malik is nothing if not persistent. I'll give it some thought to try and hatch a proper scheme~

I also like all of these ideas for further scenes, as well as the adventures they've discussed ICly - looking for Pokémon together, visiting the ruins, etc. He'll want to observe Yuugi whatever chances he gets, and given how much Yuugi tends to bewilder him....also yes. Walk in on Malik doing dumb things. Whenever you can. He's good about locking his door.

And I promise all his other Pokémon, though Rocket-chipped, are more sociable than Grimer! <3
kingofgamecorner: ([calm] suspicion)

sleeping.... I meant "slipping" there. No Yuugi is sleep-saying Ishtar names!

[personal profile] kingofgamecorner 2012-02-27 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Heeee, let me know if you need anything to help it along!

But hey, throw any action posts/logs at me, or jump on mine, and I'll make due with what evil awkward I've got. x3

Or, you know, plans. There's those.

And if you want awkward, your nocturnal-cr chat with Fran had me thinking... Groggy Bakura, Jumpy Malik? How do we not throw in night-chatty Yuugi? At one of them? At least once? Pulling an all-nighter for game chat or pep talk is perfectly legitimate, you know.

Oh. And I'm afraid it's already in my head as canon. Isami don't like you, Malik~ /so sorry

But, he and many Yuugi-pocket monsters will embrace the rocket-chipped, no worries! I'm all for fraternizing with the enemy.

Or, you know, having a stare off over morning breakfast of "....you're going to try and kill me today, huh... Can it wait until after we finish that board game we were playing?"

Calling out his sister's name in your sleep is a one-way ticket to a much faster revenge, yes.

[personal profile] best_laid_plans 2012-02-27 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Malik will be doing all he can to keep Yuugi from suspecting a thing. Which won't work, of course, but he has to buy time until he figures out what's happened in Yuugi's timeline to make Yuugi a) recognize him as "Malik" and b) be okay with living in the same house as the guy who straps people to death arenas.

So basically he'll be spoiler hunting, but doesn't want to bring it up directly since then there's the question of when he's from - and far as he's concerned, the only two options in his future are victory or death. A Yuugi who accepts him fits nicely into neither of these projections.

In the meantime, throw all of the domestic shenanigans at me. <3

Oh, don't worry. Playing the ironically layered thoughts of the victim will be fun. Well, that and baffling the villain.

You villain.

But, my current game plan has suddenly switched to Yuugi training the BA side of his team for the quick trip back... East(?). I shall have to muse ways to make domestic fun of this~

Oh hey, impromptu "Good job, pokeys!" dinner party in the kitchen? No I don't know where that's going either.
