Do you think Pitch will ever realize that even his power has a place in the world (one that doesn't eliminate the other powers)? Would he ever join the Guardians, if he did?

I actually have a lot of feels on this XD

Pitch knows he and his powers have a place in the world, he's simply of the opinion that everyone else doesn't get it and if they would just pull their heads out of their asses and let him DO HIS JOB he'd leave them alone really. They're threatening his existence by forcing him and his place out so he... is pushing back in order to survive.

It doesn't help that he's gone more than a little crazy (not as bad as he was once upon a time) due to pretty much being kicked in the face for 600+ years when not being utterly ignored and hated for existing. (He has problems with trust.)

He'll never join the Guardians. Not after what's happened, at least not properly.

He was offered a spot (as seen in the Rufftoon backstory comic) but he turned it down when North tried to change what he did and the whole tying you existence to the belief of children thing was and is really dumb in Pitch's book.

He... might work with them if a common enemy happened and they asked nicely and probably kissed his ass a lot though. The delicious feeling of them needing his help after beating on him for so long is kind of something he'd totally rub in their faces.

Ahahha, man yes, I can definitely see Pitch happily rubbing it in the guardian's faces if they came to him for help.

"Oh, you need ME? Hmmm, nah, I'm busy lately." XD

yeah, he knows there's bigger and badder things out there than him. They're just... really lazy or extinct.

He'd make them beg him for it, at the very least.

Is he really supposed to be the "Yang" to Sandman's "Yin"? [Well, that's how I play him in another RP :P]

YEP!

But "It's complicated" kind of takes on a whole 'nother wedding cake sized number of layers because while he and Sandy are the most... obvious part of it he's also the counterbalance to the whole gang of Guardians.

It's not a conscious thing at all, because he just... hates them and everything they do and stand for so much.

I headcanon that he and Sandy were... on okay terms. they trolled each other and were assholes but it was about as close to "friends" as Pitch had. It's kind of some of the leftovers from Kozmotis really, and Pitch certainly doesn't get why he put up with the glowball.

Right. I always interpret that there's some sort of relationship there, as Sandy is the only Guardian Pitch really fears.

He's also kind of the only one he actually respects enough to call by his title/name.
