I suspect it would be! I was just afraid of falling in love with a new franchise...
Seriously those figures cost a lot and look AMAZING While I have you here, any recommendations on getting started? I've noticed that the magazines I get the f/ha manga in also have a S;G manga--is there an on-going translation or should I start somewhere else?
The original visual novel, which has a guide of it here and there's a patch probably floating around on nyaa somewhere (pick up the latest one). It has better and more consistent artwork imo, a tips section to explain some of the more obscure references, an interesting way to pick choices (via text messages, what to put on them or whether to answer them or not) sand side endings which while aren't necessary to comprehend the plot, they are a decent watch. Cons are that it's longer than the anime being around 20-30 hours long depending on if you get all the endings and it isn't animated.
The anime is 24 episodes long I think, and is one of the best visual novel adaptations out there and can be substituted for the vn. The art is not as pretty but it fits and it managed to adapt the story well. The anime follows the true route and you can youtube the side ends. The voice acting is also slightly better since it was made after the VN. Some scenes were cut or shortened but it doesn't hurt it much.
So just pick one of those two options, either one works fine! I've done both but I haven't even looked at the manga yet lol

For reference: Here's what the vn's art looks like and here's the anime art.
