... This is not quite like asking a mother to pick her favorite child, but it's close. Hmmmm...

I guess for Fiction, I'll go with the very first Daring Do novel. Maybe a bit formulaic, looking back on it, but it's a great lead in to an excellent series, and has given modern Equestrian Foal Literature one of its greatest enduring characters.

Non-fiction, I'll go with A Brief History of Spacetime, by Stephen Gryphonwing.
