What a weird person. What does he want with her?? Why does he keep talking to her?? She keeps questioning his motives because she's not used to the idea of adults befriending kids just because they can, or even voluntarily taking the parental position (or enjoying it). The last person that didn't mind talking to her about stuff or being somewhat parenty was Bro and some part of her might fear inadvertently becoming attached to and trusting someone like that again only for them to leave.

Not that she'd ever bring that up, it'd be too much like bonding and she still hasn't gotten past "why is this guy talking to me."
