So Aradia has pretty much become John's favorite troll and as much as I'd like to say "I have no idea how that happened" it's actually pretty obvious how it happened so I can't say that. Obviously, the fact that he and her first incarnation showed up on the same day helped things. So does the fact that Aradia is just generally a very nice and agreeable troll who finds his jokes funny. Finding his crappy jokes to be funny is a big plus with John, you just don't understand. HE APPRECIATES A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR AND ARADIA HAS THE BEST AS FAR AS THE TROLLS ARE CONCERNED.

It really does help that they had a pretty solid friendship going before John's canon update. Because like...yeah, she's totally crazy and all. There's absolutely no denying that. But he has more perspective than he did in canon so he realizes that she's really actually a harmless crazy. Frankly, her morbidity doesn't even bother him in the slightest anymore because...they all kind of make their fair share of at least slightly morbid jokes now. Maybe it's some kind of coping method for being out of the game, who really knows. But it's pretty much a non issue, hell it's kind of rubbed off on him.

In addition to being his favorite troll, Aradia's one of his best friends at this point. Right up there with Dave, Rose, and Jade, really (She even comes before the alpha kids, u go, Aradia), and he trusts her completely. Though...then again John trusts just about everyone BUT THIS IS LIKE AN EXTRA SPECIAL KIND OF TRUST. Like god tier level trust or something that involves the high honor of helping with holiday decorations. Not just anybody can be trusted to do that, you know, especially as far as Halloween is concerned.
