ISHIMARU. OH BOY ISHIMARU.

She really meant what she said that she's not sure if he likes her sometimes or if she irritates the fuck out of him. she should be used to semi-conflicting relationships, but without the ability to ~touch souls~ with people a lot of her insight is lost and she's just left with her poor social skills (oh no!) But she likes Ishimaru a lot, he's good people, orderly and bold, but definitely still has a feeling heart and his own set of morals. She also meant what she said in that he shouldn't lose himself to despair and keep on hoping! Even if she doesn't know the context behind hope and despair for him in the first place.

Maybe someday she'll confide a bit to him about the fear and courage thing in her world and some of the battles she's fought, but for now let's focus on our friend, yes.
