Parker is pretty much the first friend that Ishimaru has made based on just understanding each other; it's different from his friendship with Mondo, because that ended up being an unholy clusterfuck that honestly would not have happened so strongly and immediately had it not been for murderschool and he ended up going really unhealthily obsessed and idolizing within the span of about 24 hours - his initial friendship with Mondo seemed to hinge on the idea that Mondo can do no wrong, while with Parker it's more...you do plenty of wrong but he does the same sort of wrong a lot of the time and he understands why the wrong is happening and so he's kind of wigged out but more willing to accept the wrongness.

He's honestly really glad to have someone who understands him on that level, though - and their understanding isn't based around the concept of trying to "fix" each other, which is important to him in a lot of ways; she doesn't expect him to change or compromise who he is to be friends with her, which isn't something he's used to, and he tends to feel really safe around her because of that. He's used to people being okay with him and then suddenly not being okay and refusing to talk to him; he gets that it's often because of something he did, but he never really understands...what...that something is. Whereas with Parker he feels like he can be himself, and if he fucks up and offends her or freaks her out he can usually figure out why and fix it; she's not a complete mystery to him like most people are, and that's definitely been something he's really grateful to have.

He still thinks she's a good person, despite what she says about it; he used to side-eye the methods she was using to do good for people, but needless to say after canon updating that has...changed...quite a bit...THAT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD THING BUT IT SORT OF HAS...

That said, though, best sister in the world, okay. >:|
