Not yet. I had just graduated before I was brought here.

[She's pretty upset about it, too... Being brought to a place against your will isn't exactly something that you can take in stride. Sneasel doesn't seem to be interested either, therefore it moves over to where Murkrow's landed and climbs up the tree next to the bird Pokémon.]

[Wow, humans sure do talk a lot don't they, Sneasel?

Veronica rolled her shoulders, finding the loose thread on the cuff of her sleeve pretty interesting. She shook her head derisively.]

Tough luck.

[nicocchi]

[Indeed they do, its human especially.

For some reason, that comment rubs Nico the wrong way so she narrows her eyes, huffing slightly. She's pretty feisty.]

Yeah, it is tough luck. Though, you're in the same situation as me, so it's tough luck for you, too.

[Her's significantly less so. A small blessing.]

Hm...

[Well, that actually succeeded in making Veronica look a little annoyed. It was a quiet annoyance that Veronica kept to herself mostly. As it turns out, being stuck in a land that you've never been in, and forced to do something you didn't want to do was more common than you'd think.]

Yeah. [Veronica's eyes flashed briefly, showing a small bit of determination in them.] But I'm going to find a way out of here. I have duties to attend to.

[nicocchi]

[Sneasel'll trade you.]

You're not the only one, you know.

[...Nico, really, what kind of duties do you have to attend to.]

[No trade. Find someone else.]

[She nods. Yeah, but my duties are important. [She squares her shoulders, seemingly subconsciously.] I'm a bodyguard.

[nicocchi]

[RUDE.]

A bodyguard? For who?

[...If it's someone cuter than her, she'll get jealous.]

[She'd stick her tongue out at Sneasel, only birds can't exactly do that. So, imagine some other, rude gesture.]

[Veronica nods. Yes, that is what she is.] For my big sister, and our father. They're both doctors.

[Very good at what they do too.]

[nicocchi]

[Sneasel raises her claws at Murkrow with a slight hiss in return; goodness gracious, she liked you for a moment, Murkrow...]

Oh, some doctors. Huh.

[They're not a threat at all, carry on.]

[stitchedupbodyguard]

[Murkrow just flares a wing at her uncaringly. Eh, what are you gonna do, you weasel?]

Well, they're actually the greatest doctors in the world. The Professor did a lot of medical work around the world, and I traveled with him.

[And killed a lot of people along the way.]

[nicocchi]

[Those are some fighting words, Murkrow. Sneasel's known for being a vicious Pokémon, you know.]

Well, I guess that's important enough to return home, then...but when you find the exit, let me know.

[Trust her, she's tried numerous times to get out of here. No dice.]

[yeah? Well Murkrow doesn't give a flying feather. She's kind of foolish like that. Do your worse.]

Okay. I'll tell everyone I can when I find the exit.

[She will find it, this she swears!]

[...Oh, she was serious. Nico said it to be sarcastic, but...hmm. She could use this to her advantage. Good on you, Nico.]

[Her sentence is interrupted from a loud screech from Sneasel who apparently became too fed up with Murkrow's behaviour and used Scratch on her. Nico turns to face the two Pokémon, her fists balling up at her sides, and her face wrinkled in the utmost frustration as she shouts at her starter.]

...What are you doing?!

[...Sneasel's still ignoring her, too focused on attacking Murkrow.]

[Veronica is nothing if not serious when it comes to her home. She is the most serious.

And it clearly shows when she reacts with quite a bit of surprise when Murkrow starts cawing up a storm. She watched for a moment, stunned as her bird pokemon took flight, getting away from Sneasel's attacks before returning with a barrage of pecks.]

Wha... Murkrow!

[She wasn't going to listen to Veronica, obviously. The cloaked girl just stood there, a little frustrated with how things were going.]

What's with them...
