[It actually startles Rei some, to the point where he lets out a rather undignified yelp as he does his best to brace himself. But the immediate yelping in his ear alerts him of who his assaulter is, and Rei actually smiles a little. He's far too used to it, from this particular swimmer.]

I haven't, actually. Rather, I've been trying to ascertain the situation with my, erm... Feebas.

[The ugliest fish imaginable. Seriously, there is not a single beautiful thing about it, save for the fact that one of its spots by its right eye reminds him of a potato. The Feebas seems to be okay, albeit a little timid over the energetic Piplup; he doesn't quite know how to handle the situation.]

Hmm... [Even with Nagisa hanging onto him, that hand has found his chin once more and Rei looks curiously at the two pokemon.]

Oh, Feeby-chan? [Finally letting go, Nagisa moves over to Rei's side and looks up at him curiously before glancing over at Feebas, then Rei, then Feebas... and he begins to copy Rei's gesture as he tilts his head to the side slightly.]

He always has a sad look on his face. Do you think he's hungry? Or maybe he doesn't like this water.

[Doesn't like water? As Nagisa lets go, Rei straightens his shoulders again as he tries to contemplate that--but that's foolish. The thing doesn't seem nearly as bothered flapping about in there.]

Hungry... perhaps. He's fine in the water. [Curiosity has him kneeling by Nagisa's leg, slipping his backpack off to rummage through it. As he withdraws a small bag of pokesnacks, he pulls two out and holds them in his palms towards the two pokémon. Whether the Piplup is hungry or not, it seemed kinder to offer anyway.

...feeding weird creatures. What was he even thinking?! Nagisa's lack of caring towards the abnormal was starting to rub off on him.]

[After watching him pull out the pokesnacks, Nagisa decided it would be a good time for them all to have some snacks together, and so after slipping off his own backpack, he pulled out small package of sweet bread that he'd purchased a while ago. Crouching down next to Rei, Nagisa began to nibble away at his bread as he watched Piplup hurriedly swim over to the edge of the water in order to take the offered snack, little wings splashing happily atop the water at the offer.]

This is fun, but it would be more fun if Haru-chan and Mako-chan were with us. It's kind of like camping. And we get free pets!

[Oh, snack time already? Rei fights back a small cringe; despite the numerous times Nagisa snacks around him, he just has to question how many unnecessary calories that's taking in and how unbalanced every single one of Nagisa's meals must be. How he's so lithe is beyond him.

His friend does have a point there. As the Piplup pounces over to take the snack and the Feebas gently nibbles at it from his fingers, Rei has to wonder what it would be like if they had Makoto and Haru with them. It would have been fun, definitely. Even with fishing Haru out of the lake.]

Mm... Well, it just means we shouldn't stay too long. I... also don't think we're to keep these pets... We should find a way home.

[Maybe it's Nagisa's boundless energy that helps keep those calories in check, but whatever his secret is, it sure won't ever be discovered. Then again, he's an animu. He can do whatever he wants. While he does enjoy their adventure, he is still rather homesick, and missing his other friends just as much. He has to wonder how long it will take them to go home, and what sorts of stories they will be able to bring back with them.

But not being able to bring their Pokemon sure does bring a big pout to his lips as he mumbles a grumpy 'booo'.]

Why can't we keep them? We can take good care of them, can't we? I don't wanna leave Pippy alone! [In reaction to his name, Nagisa's Piplup swims on over to his side, and so he tears off a bit of his bread in order to feed it to the little penguin-like Pokemon. This is enough to lift Nagisa's mood, and it brings an idea to him, which he says over to Rei happily.]

Ah, imagine if we could make them part of our swim club! Wouldn't that be so cool?!
