[Well, for what it's worth that actually gets a laugh out of him - really, even if it was a brush-off...well, he's had worse and they didn't deter him then, so, uh. Take that as you will!]

...Ah, no, no, I'm not from this place, either. Many of us seem to be in the same situation, really - c'est malheureux, terribly unfortunate all around, but from what I've heard there's not much we can do about it for now besides enjoy the view.

[Honestly, it's because of the catlike grace of the last question that she hesitantly opts out of the follow-up she's tempted to ask, if only because there is literally no social protocol whatsoever that can prepare someone for the rather awkward question of inquiring as to whether or not someone is currently supposed to be dead and really kind of not, and...

[It's probably fortunate that she's opted out of that, just because goodness no social protocol for that indeed. Even where he's from, the closest he's gotten to that question being anywhere near appropriate was aimed toward someone who quite simply wasn't dying fast enough and kept grabbing him at the most inopportune times.

Ahh, not nearly as much as I would like, sadly enough! Before now, my travels were restricted to the worlds shown to me in books - which really isn't a restriction at all, should the authors be competent enough.
