[Whether it was a dream or not was subjective. Veronica was still of the opinion she was in some sort of strange nightmare, but even that couldn't last forever. And the longer she stayed here, the longer things seemed almost... normal. It was weird.

She knelt down, giving Kawa some head pats before turning her attention to Omi. He seemed safe enough, but her eyes weren't as sharp as they used to be.]

Umm... yes, this is Kawa. [She reached down and scooped Kawa up into her arms.] She likes to run off without thinking.

[She was growing worried that she could be hurt.]

[hackercat]

I see. Well it's nice to meet you, Kawa.

[He says to the Eevee with a small nod as his Mareep calls out again.]

This is Amai.

[The Mareep's tail wags a little harder when she hears her name spoken, gently nuzzling her face into Omi's free hand.]

Say, uh...you haven't seen anyone else pass by this way lately, have you? ...I'm looking for some friends of mine.

[Kawa certainly seems pretty psyched about this, Veronica a little less so. But, she was trying, at least. People needed to be given a chance.]

Friends? [That catches her attention the most, though her expression hardly changes.] I'm... looking for friends too. Who are they?

Yeah. We work together, so I'm wondering if they're nearby...

[They would have contacted him if they were. ...So they're either not here, or they're in trouble.]

Aya, Ken, and Yohji. You could hardly miss them...they tend to stand out, when they're together.

And I'm Omi. Omi Tsukiyono.

Hmm... [Brow furrowed, she thought those names over. Even the names stood out to a degree.]

If they were together... [She shook her head.] I don't think I've seen anyone with those names around here.

[She paused.] ....Veronica Madaraki. I'm looking for my sister, Fran.

[hackercat]

Well, if I happen to find your sister anywhere, I'll find you and let you know. You can do the same with me and my friends.

[Omi's certain that he'll be able to find those three soon enough, or at least find some way to contact them himself if they aren't actively looking for him.]

Yeah.

[If he found her sister around here, Veronica would literally hug him.]

What do they look like? Your friends?

[Better him than the others. Aya wouldn't get close enough to allow it, Ken would probably get irrationally mad about something, and Yohji....who even knows.]

Well uh...Aya has red hair, and an earring-

[He points to his own ear, which also appears to be pierced.]

Ken's got brown hair and is a little stocky, you know, from sports and all...and Yohji's blonde, longer hair than the rest of us. Wears these stupid sunglasses all the time.

Like I said, people that are impossible to miss. And what about your sister?

[Yohji.....

She nods slowly as Omi describes his friends. They all sounded... very strange, but she didn't say anything.]

Ah, okay. They shouldn't be hard to notice if they're around here.

My sister, Fran, has... uh... [She gestures to her face where the stitches still were.] scars on her face like this. And she might have bolts on her head too. She always wears a labcoat too.

[hackercat]

[...And you call his friends strange?]

Sounds like Fran shouldn't be hard to notice, either.

[She's not 90s like you are though, Omi.]

No. She could be inspecting pokemon on the routes, so that's where you could check.

[Man don't diss the 90s, it was a magical time.]

What town would you say is the biggest around here? I'd like to try heading there, next.

[A time of nonlogic and confusion.]

That would be Goldenrod city. It's the biggest in the region, I think.

Goldenrod, got it. Me and Amai will head on to that area next, then. If my friends are anywhere, it would probably be there.
