[There are two ways she could go about this: one - being mature and not saying anything, or two - being the great older sister she is and teasing him about it.

While the second choice is most tempting, she's certain that he'd just end up getting flustered and yelling at her, so...he gets a break. Just this once. It doesn't stop her from giggling, though, as she shakes her head.]

[Well, it helps that he's actually starting to get over Wendy...little by little. And them still being friends makes it easy for him to name his new little friend after one.]

[YES WELL...maybe he should stay out of the dating circuit for a little while. For his sanity and everyone else's.

Also, Johto is a cruel mistress.]

Yeah, that'd probably be best. I've seen a couple here and there...mostly things that kinda look like blue oranges, and some things that looked like peaches.

In that case, Iiiiii think I saw some earlier before I came here, but when I went to go check them out, Roasty ended up setting them on fire, sooooo...

He can control it, but sometimes he gets a little...I dunno, excited? But it's not too bad!

[She places a hand on his shoulder and shakes her head.]

"Maybe"...meaning "maybe it won't happen!" It's fine, Dipper, don't worry so much!

[Look, at least his deer doesn't breathe fire.

If it did, he would be 150x more worried right now.]

Ugh....alright, let's just keep moving. We've got a long walk ahead of us.

Aye-aye, Cap'n!

[She stops to stand at attention and salute him before resuming her marching down to Cherrygrove. For the most part, she's content with chatting his ear off, but sometime during their journey, she'll probably start making up her own lyrics to the background music playing behind them so that she can sing along and pass the time. These upcoming three days of travelling are certainly going to be something, but at least he's well-acquainted with her idiosyncrasies at this point.]

[Dipper doesn't mind it all that much, and it's a distraction as he anxiously checks his Gear again, as if something there will tell him how they're supposed to get back home.

After a while he turns the Gear to the side, letting out an audible sigh of frustration.]

Looks like the biggest town is a week of travel away...but if we want any kinds of answers, I feel like we might get them there.

A week? If I'd known we were going to be travelling for a long time, I would've brought along some Mabel Juice...

[Not that it would've done her any good, considering the fact that she wasn't expecting to come here from the beginning, but...c'est la vie.]

Maybe we can, like, stop at a place for a while... Maybe they have their own Mabel Juice! Except...not exactly Mabel Juice, but you get it!

Well, we'll probably stop when we get to Cherrygrove...the walk from Cherrygrove to Goldenrod is the longest. So we'll want to stock up on supplies and stuff while we're still in town.

Okay, now that sounds better.

[She's energetic but not that energetic.]
