Envy is fascinating. He's a Homunculus and Archer is ridiculously curious about them. Now that he knows what Envy is he's actually more prone to assisting him if Envy needs it for whatever reason. He's also interested in learning more about what Envy knows concerning their version of Amestris (tell him Liore was a trap, that'll end wonderfully).
ISAAC ⇨ ENVY
Isaac is ridiculously wary of new people, even those who supposedly come from Amestris. He's not really sure what to think of Envy. Kimblee hasn't told him who or what Envy is either, so he's in the dark about that.

Hughes is one of the few people Archer genuinely likes. This is probably because Hughes isn't his boss anymore. Hughes is one of the only people Archer actually trusts (admittedly he doesn't trust Hughes that much, but...) so he's rather fond of him! Archer needs someone to tell him what he needs to hear (Kimblee usually does this), and Hughes did a great job of it when Archer and Kimblee got in that fight. So he's not only a decent companion, he's also a good therapist! Sorry, Hughes.

Isaac doesn't trust anyone, including Hughes. Sorry, bro. But you are an awesome friend and one of the few people Isaac actually does care about. It's nice to hang out with you and you're a really good influence on Isaac! ...But he's not getting married so deal with it.

Isaac actually really likes kids. He has two kid brothers who he took care of when he was a teenager, and he still enjoys spending time with kids. They... tend to understand him better than anyone else. Ouka isn't super-young of course, and she's quite mature, but she's adorable and pretty awesome, okay. Even if he is being used as a pack-mule. He's 4x weak to cute, and Ouka is very cute, okay. He actually trusts her more than Hughes - if only because she's a teenager and she can't really betray him... :|b

It's like beating your head against a wall when you're talking to him! Thanks for that analogy, Kimblee, it's way too accurate. Archer still has some sort of respect for Gluttony because he is a Homunculus, but that's really about all there is there. orz

Once upon a time Archer intended to replace Kimbley with Kimblee. They're the same person, right? They both make things explode and they have similar names. So they're totally the same, right? Yeah... not so much. He learned very quickly that that isn't the case. So instead of replacing Kimbley, he started forming a friendship with this one. He still hasn't realized that he knows more about this Kimblee than the one he knew back home and that's not going to be a pretty realization. Kimblee is the only person Archer trusts fully; he's the only person he bothers with his issues (Hughes may be next though, watch out). There's not a lot Archer really likes about this place (other than the fact that he can ignore Kimbley's death and command monsters to do his bidding) - Kimblee is one of the main reasons why he wants to stay. He hasn't really realized this or acknowledged it, but he genuinely does care for Kimblee and would willingly put his own life on the line for Kimblee. He's well aware that will never be returned, but he genuinely does love Kimblee in the most platonic way possible. TL;DR YOU'RE A BRO.

Back in Ishval, Isaac didn't know anyone or really care for anyone either. He was wrapped up in his own issues. That hasn't changed much in seven years. He's still very antisocial and stoic. He doesn't attempt to make friends or contact anyone else. It's just the way he is. Kimblee was one of the few people who actually managed to get him to break out of his shell - and showed genuine interest in him and what he could do. Isaac accepted Kimblee as a sort of mentor figure in Ishval - and even now that hasn't changed. The entire reason why he went to visit Kimblee in prison with the offer to break him out was because Kimblee understood him so well. At least, that's what he thought. He still hasn't forgiven Kimblee for that, by the way. Anyway, here in Johto he's willing to overlook all of that. Isaac believes that what happened in Amestris doesn't matter here (to some extent; Bradley is still a target for what he did). So he's willing to forgive Kimblee for that and get to know him again. Travelling with him for those two weeks (three? however long it was) was actually really fun and Isaac enjoyed it. He likes being alone for the most part, but he really did enjoy getting to spend time with Kimblee. He unintentionally mimicked Kimblee after Ishval - the ponytail, the tattoo, following Kimblee's advice literally... He really looks up to Kimblee and admires his strength and confidence - two things Isaac doesn't believe he has. He'd like to learn more about Kimblee and spend more time with him.
ARCHER ⇨ DESCOLE
Descole is a bro. Not in the same way that Kimblee is a bro, of course; Descole is just fun. He's fascinating and he seems to understand Archer's take on things - where you don't insult one another and instead stroke one another's egos for infinity. (Kimblee, why haven't you learned this? Stop insulting him, dammit!) He'd like to do some crazy Team Rocket shit with Descole in the future!

Nothing much has changed, though Archer does see Roy as less of a threat now that he and Kimblee both have Pokemon in the 100s. As long as you don't oppose Team Rocket, he'll continue to be neutral toward you~

Back in Ishval, Isaac found Roy to be an egotistical idiot who couldn't see past his own issues to the bigger picture and just how terrible things were for everyone else. He was there for the legendary bitching Kimblee did, so he did witness that. His feelings really hadn't changed in seven years. Here in Johto, however, he wasn't expecting Roy to be so open with him and... well, patient. Isaac is kind of the biggest social fail in the world, so patience is always appreciated. He's still not sure what to think of Roy, but he does believe that Roy would be a good ally should he ever need one.
