Character Relationships Meme
Because I noticed we haven't had one of these in quite a while. This meme is pretty simple! Just:
1. Post your character(s).
2. Comment to other characters asking what they think of yours right now, and answer anyone who comments to your thread.
3. Lovely CR descriptions for all!

So Kimblee is willing to offer Clive a different level of understanding than he would for "normal" or "sane" people, whom he holds accountable for all of their actions and demands explanations from immediately once they start doing something strange or undesirable. He understands that heretics (as he refers to them) have their own way of thinking that often isn't something that can be explained or understood by others outside of the thought process, and as such he won't push for an explanation now that he thinks he has a decent idea of what's going on. He doesn't fault Clive for it, nor does he blame him for being less than straightforward; he just kind of accepts it and moves on, and he figures that if Clive really is a heretic like him, he'll tell him about it if it becomes relevant between them. If it doesn't become relevant then Kimblee will never know what his deal is, but that's okay, as far as he's concerned; it's something that Clive should choose to discuss at his own will, rather than anything that Kimblee deserves to know.
tl;dr - You are probably insane but that's okay, we're all mad here, you keep on keepin' on, bb.
Descole on Clive: Descole isn't...entirely sure what to think of him at this point, to be honest. He does appreciate the extending of the proverbial olive branch, even though he'll continue to be bitchy and generally antagonistic about it; he just doesn't handle offers like that very well, and he tends to assume that the other person has an ulterior motive, simply because he's used to having ulterior motives when it comes to that sort of thing. He tends to have a hard time telling when people are being genuine, because Descole's grasp on social cues is not very good; he tends to frustrate himself a lot because he'll start thinking that he's missing something obvious and this...invariably pisses him off and leads to more bitchy antagonizing - people often have to be very, very blunt with him, and the lack of explanation for...anything from "Luke" over there is making it very hard for him to be trusting of him.
At the same time, a lack of trust does not mean a lack of interest, and this is just going to make him determined to figure out what in the world happened in the time period between Luke-the-brat and Luke-the-...whatever-this-is-now; his default thought is that Layton screwed him over somehow, even though if he were to actually consider that he'd realize how little sense it makes. But he's a bit bitter toward Layton, okay?
So basically, he isn't sure how much he likes or trusts Clive right now, though he does appreciate the peace treaty over here; he kind of wants to try to figure him out, however.
