Character Relationships Meme
Because I noticed we haven't had one of these in quite a while. This meme is pretty simple! Just:
1. Post your character(s).
2. Comment to other characters asking what they think of yours right now, and answer anyone who comments to your thread.
3. Lovely CR descriptions for all!

So, while he does think Kimblee has a few screws missing, Hughes really doesn't mind Kimblee as a person. He can appreciate the bluntness, actually. He likes that Kimblee tells it like it is, even if he does think Kimblee should work a bit on his delivery methods. He also finds Kimblee hilarious after hearing what Archer had to say about him and also after Isaac's broadcast.
He's heard Armstrong's experience with Kimblee during the war. And while that's not something he'd wish upon Armstrong, he's also not really... faulting Kimblee too much for that, because Kimblee was just doing what he was told: which is to kill everyone. He, personally, would probably have turned the other way and pretended he didn't see anything. But he understand the penalties that would have come with that should they have been caught. So in his mind, Kimblee did what he felt like he had to in the situation given.
He doesn't really care about Kimblee one way or another, and he doesn't think Kimblee is a good person, or anything. But he doesn't see any reason to be suspicious or mean toward him. And he does have a certain level of respect for the man, because he's one of the few people that has held some interesting conversations with Hughes. He thinks Kimblee would've done well under him in Investigations, but at the same time, he doesn't feel like Kimblee is someone that he could really trust, mostly because he's not quite sure what Kimblee's intentions are at all.
Basically, he respects Kimblee for being intelligent and a good conversation, but he's going to keep Kimblee at a safe distance.

He knows that alchemy doesn't work here in Johto, but Hughes isn't sure about how far the homunculus abilities will reach. Considering how everyone else knew about his death, he wouldn't put it past Envy to know as well. Which makes him feel incredibly betrayed, because he actually did think Victor was an alright person.
He doesn't really know what to think of Envy at this point, because he's not sure why Envy was friendly to him in the first place. Are they planning to create some sort of philosopher's stone here? He knows that there are a few other homunculi here as well, though the only other one whose identity he knows is Bradley. He has no idea where Lust is, and he doesn't even know what Gluttony looks like. So the fact that Envy has tricked him into believing that he's just a random Amestrian is really jolting and uncomfortable.
He's not going to reveal to anyone other than Armstrong and possibly Mustang that he knows, though. Not yet, anyways, because he wants more information on what (if anything) the homunculi are plotting here in Johto. And he's going to keep an eye on Envy, even if it makes him feel absolutely disgusted to even be talking to Envy at this point. So for the time being, he'll grit his teeth and pretend to still be on friendly terms.
Gluttony --> Envy
Envy's probably Gluttony's second closest sibling, mostly because he worked more with Envy than any of the others and Envy does some babysitting of him while Lust is away. So he does think very highly of Envy. While he generally just values the words of any of his siblings, Envy's weighs more than most others. And if there were some sort of conflict in instructions between all of the siblings, Gluttony would first listen to whatever Lust said, and then it'd be Envy.
Other than that, idk. It's Gluttony and he doesn't really have a whole lot of depth of emotion or anything.

He thinks Isaac needs a wife. End meme.
... No, but he was a bit, "um, kay... lol... wtf..." at Isaac when they first met, because he knew about the whole, TRYING TO KILL BRADLEY AND SOMEHOW DESTROYING AMESTRIS IN THE PROCESS, thing. And while he's a bit side-eyeing at that whole thing, Isaac seemed like an alright person. And he finds it kind of amusing how easy it is to tease Isaac.
After finding out that Bradley is actually a homunculus, and also after that dream about his death, he now feels like he is a bit more able to understand where Isaac was coming from (which, btw /o/ we should thread them talking about it next time Isaac is in Goldenrod!) He still doesn't approve of Isaac's methods, because... what the holy fuck, man... you nearly destroyed half of Amestris just to kill one person. But he understands.
Isaac reminds him a bit of Roy: stupidly idealistic. And so there's a bit of fondness for him, just based off of that. Hughes likes his stupidly idealistic guys, okay? He does kind of question Isaac's judgement at times, but he does really like Isaac.
Hughes --> Archer
8| He's just kind of over here not sure what to think of Archer.
After that whole anon fail thing, he found out a whole lot of things about Archer that he really didn't need to know. And his respect for Archer went down a few notches. But honestly, all of that sounded like really stupid boyish ambition, and didn't actually sound like... Archer was malicious. Just... really fucking moronic and immature.
And then that whole I'm-upset-at-Kimblee thing happened. Which was hilarious, but also really fucking moronic and immature.
He doesn't know about what Archer and Kimblee have been up to, so mostly, Hughes just thinks that Archer is a whole lot of talk and not much action. Which, if he's just going to talk about how much he loves war and wants to command an army and kill all the peoples... that's... fine. Stupid, but fine. You keep talking. So long as you're not doing anything, Hughes is mostly okay with it.
And, again, he doesn't quite see Archer as someone... who... takes a whole lot of action. He's wary, and kind of side-eying Archer hardcore, but right now that's the impression he's getting. Not a threat, just a misguided idiot.
That said, he doesn't completely dislike Archer, either. He finds the man quite entertaining and interesting. And the fact that he's worked under him is something that makes Hughes wonder. He'd like to get to know Archer better, because he's kind of wondering how the hell this man functions. And he really would also like to show Archer that... he's a misguided idiot.
Ouka --> Isaac
Isaac is such a pushover. 8D Ouka likes that.
No, but... Ouka doesn't make friends easily. Her kind of in-your-face personality doesn't exactly get very many people to jump at the opportunity to continue talking to her. And so she's really happy that she met Isaac, because he's easy to talk to, and he doesn't seem to mind when she goes into one of her... selfish all-about-Ouka modes.
He's also the first person she met here that she didn't either already know or was some friend of Mamoru's. However, everyone that she already knew aren't really very friendly toward her (there's a whole lot of lets-see-who-can-be-more-immature going on there...) and so after Mamoru left, Isaac was kind of the only person who was actually nice to her. This, she appreciates.
He reminds her a bit of Omi, in that they're both very kind, caring, and somewhat yielding to her. He also reminds her a bit of her Papa (... or her interpretation of her Papa anyways, because... Papa was not a good man to anyone other than Ouka.) So she's become a bit attached to him, now. And the thing about Ouka is that once she attaches herself to someone, it's pretty hard (read: impossible) to shake her off.

You can try to show Archer the error of his ways, Hughes! It won't succeed... orz He's pretty crazy, Hughes. Someday you'll realize this. :| You probably won't want anything to do with him after this but! orz
OUKA ISAAC WILL BE YOUR BIG BROTHER FOREVER, OKAY. ;A;

Well, Roy is a bro. He and Armstrong are the only two here that Hughes actually really trusts. He has a lot of respect for Roy, and he'd do anything for Roy; all of that really isn't news at all. He does think Roy is a bit stupidly idealistic about pretty much everything, but if anyone could make those stupid ideals a reality, he knows that Roy probably could; or at least, he'd die trying.
The fact that this Roy is from his future makes him a little bit uncomfortable, because Hughes doesn't really know what to do with it. He's not going to press Roy for information, because whatever happens will happen -- this became very clear after that canon review when he realized that there's absolutely nothing that he can do to change anything. There's a degree of comfort when Roy tells him that things turn out alright in the end, but there's also sadness that so much had to happen between what he knows, and what Roy knows.
There's also a degree of guilt there, that he couldn't do more to help Roy. Now that he knows how he died, he knows that there wasn't a whole lot more he could do, but at the same time, he regrets not doing more. Hence, he's going to do everything that he can to make sure that Roy achieves his goals here, and gets home.
Gluttony --> Roy
Even though he has Lust back, Gluttony's still very much angry at this person named Roy Mustang for killing her the first time. As such, if he ever found out who Roy is, nothing will keep him from hurling himself at Roy at full force until he's either dead or Envy, Lust, or Wrath forcibly stops him.
But since he doesn't know who Roy is... he really doesn't give a whole lot of fucks about Roy either way. He's just kind of some guy who asked about Lust once.
Ouka --> Athrun
She thinks it's very nice of him to try to do this travel idea. From their first interaction, he seems like someone who cares about helping others, which kind of reminds her of the guy she had a crush on back home. She finds his home world really fascinating, because it doesn't really sound like her world. And where she may come off as a bit insensitive, she really does mean well.
She rarely seems to get along well with people back home, so she may have latched on just a little bit at Athrun, because what is having friends, and how does one social without being totally all up ons?
