It's really rare for someone to accept Henry unconditionally! Most people fall into the category of "likes him, but politely declines to talk about his bad points", whereas Naki... really does not seem to care. Although most of the time Henry plays up his weirdness to freak people out, with Naki he feels absolutely no need to act; he just acts like himself. His nerdy, attention-seeking self. Henry likes to pretend he's a lone wolf all the time, but that's absolute bullshit; he really likes company, and really enjoys the daily chats. 0w0

Aaaah this is so cute! Naki's an attention-seeker as well, so this actually works out perfectly! He's also perfectly fine with the weirdness because he's pretty damn weird too. He's so glad to have Henry as a friend here!! \o/

YEAH FOR REAL, they both would have been... much worse off if not for the other, I think. Naki, because Naki, and Henry because their friendship really helped to solidify his opinion on the Pokémon world in general? Henry was never super attached to his home world, only the people he knew there -- but he might still feel homesick. Of course no amount of cross-canon CR is ever going to make him stop missing them entirely, but Naki (and by extension everything else) is kind of his... reason for staying, now, I guess. As weird as that sounds.

At the very least, he'll ask Naki to come with him if he ever decides to wander off into the wilderness for two years and not come out.
