...it is strange for someone some 270-ish years younger than him to be a father figure to Greed. Well not quite a father figure I guess but Cecil is definitely patient enough with Greed that it probably comes close enough. He likes him and as always appreciates the old guard filling him in on things because Greed is very much an encyclopedia of bad information so getting actual deets is something he finds very useful.

A very patient person in contrast with Greed's mania is a very helpful balancing act, and though he's not quite aware of it helping him out, it definitely has because he's come slightly more self aware as a result.
