Ash finds him quite interesting! Which is actually a little impressive, because Kayneth's attitude can be a bit reminescent of the people a younger Asemu used to meet at his parents' military functions, and he hated those. Also, he might or might not be playing up his more pirate-y aspects once in a while to see his reaction. Just because.

Cecil deeply appreciates Kayneth's presence, partially because he obviously comes from the sort of environment he can relate to, and partially because his theories and conclusions about the world surrounding them tend to make sense.
