And if you'd like to talk for hours, just go ahead now

Character Relationships Meme!

1. Leave a comment listing who you play.

2. Reply to one another, asking for details on CR/what their characters think of yours!

3. tl;dr at will!

Holy crap, it's so easy a Weedle can do it. It's not Magikarp-tier simplicity, but that's just because nothing is Magikarp-tier simplicity.

Have at and enjoy!

Parker on Lord Stinkface
SHE REGRETS NOTHING EVER and Bernie is way too cool to get saddled with such a butthead like his trainer guy. Poor Bernie. Poor saintly noble Bernie.

Carmen on Kayneth
...You know what I think is kind of interesting about the way Carmen and Kayneth's relationship is developing in terms of how she sees him and stuff, is the fact that she's actually very conscious of Kayneth's faults and doesn't overlook them, but she's achieved a kind of maturity about recognizing that they're there and some of them are worth trying to nudge out of him and some of them are incorrigible and always going to piss her off and some are incorrigible and she can kind of just let them go and accept them, and that's fine — and I just really need to stress that what I am describing here is a shitload of interpersonal savvy that Carmen literally did not have when she first arrived in Route. Kayneth is reaping the benefits of a ton of development on her behalf, mostly because of Kimblee so what do you know, for once the guy's intercession actually didn't ruin Kayneth's life, but sort of achieved the exact opposite. :|a

But yeah, she likes him a lot, and she likes being able to really dig in and get her culture on when he's around, and granted I think she figures he could stand to loosen up a little bit because he always reads as a little stiff and uptight to her (some of which is just his personality and some of which is him being secretly doki about her), but I think she's come to the conclusion of kind of wearing him down over time, and maybe trying to fish around a bit until she finds situations where he's more likely to relax and unwind than others, and then orchestrate more of those until he starts seeming like he's more comfortable around her.

...Also she's still not entirely sure he's not a mass murderer, but that has literally nothing to do with Kayneth and more to do with the fact that Carmen's track record with men is absolute utter shit, and so she's kind of having the experience of "I really like this guy and he doesn't seem like a heinous psychopath...but that is also what I thought about several confirmed psychopaths in my personal history so OKAY I CLEARLY AM NOT A GOOD JUDGE OF CHARACTER..."

So there's...y'know. That.

Meridiana on Kayneth
Kayneth is actually among one of Meridiana's favorite people in the game right now, and it's for the easy and simple reason that he's 1) socially familiar to her (she knows how to fit "a lord" into her personal schema of the world; she does not always know how to fit "wireless internet" into that schema yet), and 2) he treats her with a given amount of patience considering the fact that she's really hella disoriented right now and a lot of what she's been getting from people is a sense of kind of...HURRY UP AND ADJUST TO THE MODERN ERA BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT RIGHT NOW, and it's really hard for her to make that shift and it's something she's struggling with a lot, so it's a huge relief that Kayneth tends to kind of inherently ease the way for her. He explains things in simple terms, he takes concepts slowly, the fact that he finds her quaint and a curiosity reads to her like understanding and friendliness, so she feels comfortable around him, and he just kind of helps her out without overloading her, which she appreciates a whole lot.

So yes, she thinks he's very nice and if he weren't as old as he is she might even try flirting with him a little ("as old as he is" is relative to her specifically — she's sixteen or seventeen) because a lord is generally a pretty solid catch, but as it is she's fine with him being a gentleman in her general direction and she likes that a lot.
enjoymyatelier: actually, it totally will. (aha! a plan that will not end in failure)

...Well, you know, Kayneth has probably killed less people than Kimblee and more people than Coop, so at least he's a nice middle of the road sort of date?
