[ Anyone in Goldenrod City or on one of the nearby routes might run into a girl who looks like she should be in elementary school; spoiler alert, she's actually 24, but she's so tiny and most people are likely going to assume she's twelve at the most. She has a camera around her neck and is ready to take pictures of anything that captures her interest.

Which seems to be practically everything. When she's not wandering around in the tall grass or climbing trees to take approximately a million pictures of wild Pokémon, she's taking pictures of completely mundane shit like a crack in the sidewalk or somebody's lawn. Hell, she's going to be take pictures of you if you need a reason to approach her. ]

Hmmm, hmm. What do you think of this picture, Pikachu?

[ ...The electric rodent sitting on her shoulder is an Emolga, by the way. ]

[ For those who might find themselves in Goldenrod City, they'll find a young teenage male with determination kindling in his expression. He seems to look rather worn out; his clothes covered in dirt, his face full of sweat, but it's clear that he doesn't seem to stop to slow down, nor does he tell anyone that he's exhausted. He's doing various odd jobs for the city - from working to restaurants to cleaning to carrying things.

Basically, any sort of menial task? Emiya Shirou's doing it.

In fact, if you are in his line of sight and are in dire need of any assistance, he's here. ]

[ No.... what she needs help with is trying to take care of this precious manchild who can't stop for a moment to relax. Fortunately she has an entourage of fluffy Pokemon of various evolution stages that can help with that. ]

Ah, just the person I was seeking out for this task. [ Bringing her hands together in a carefree manner, she's definitely a bit more spirited here than she ever was in Fuyuki City. ]

I have been cuddling with these fair creatures for hours now, but they are relentless in their need for attention. Perhaps you could take over for a while so that I could tend to the others?

[Guess who's back to his job at the flower shop, carrying a box loaded with bouquets of roses.]]

Nah, think I got this one. But if you wanna grab that box to your left there- [Lancer tilted his head in the direction of a case full of carnations] -it'd make my life a little easier.

[ The definition of 'relaxing' is definitely not a foreign term to Shirou, but it's something that he doesn't do often, especially since his priorities are somewhat skewed thanks to being sent to another world.

But he still has his dream of becoming a superhero, so it's only obvious that he wishes to help as many people as he can. Saber included. And it's true; he can definitely notice that change in Saber. At the very least, it's not a bad change. ]

... Yeah, I don't mind. You can count on me. [ He gives her a thumbs up in reassurance, but unfortunately for her, he's probably pretty darn fucked, not having dealt with electric types before. ]

[ He gestures quickly before actually doing the heavy lifting. It's not that heavy, though it does take a little more effort to carry it. ]

[ If you've decided to head to the Ruins of Alph today, you may hear some angry shouting coming from the main chamber. The noise can be credited to the 20 year old boy standing in front of the initial puzzle wall. Apparently, he can't solve the riddle to even get into the Ruins to being with! ]

AH COME ON!! DAMNIT THAT WAS RIGHT ANSWER!!

[ The Duskull by his side is mimicking him as he pounds angrily on the wall. Why's this guy wanna get into the Ruins so badly anyway? ]

[That voice makes Ilya stop in her tracks. She had just come by to pick up a few new clothes for the girls, just a short stop over at Goldenrod before flying off again, but she definitely hadn't expected to be interrupted by him.

She turns around, staring eye-bogglingly at her "older" brother, jaw dropped, then her expression transforms into childlike glee and she flings herself at him.]

Shirou!

Guess not.

[Clover didn't decide to head to the Ruins of Alph so much as she just kind of ended up here. That's what aimless wandering'll get you. She stands in the doorway with an eyebrow raised. Standing behind her legs, her Snubbull whines and whimpers, apparently by all the angry noise that's attracted her trainer's curiosity.]

What is this, one of those sliding puzzles? [She comes over to take a look. After a moment of distressed woofing, Snubbull decides to follow.]

[ Bandou kicks the wall, to which his Duskull flips around in the air before headbutting it. ]

[ Wait...sliding puzzle? oh. He blinks, a bit dumbfounded (though you wouldn't be able to tell behind those big sunglasses he's wearing.) He hadn't been trying to push them like buttons that wouldn't press, really. ]

Oh. Yeah I knew that. And I was just about to solve the thing, too! Good thing you came along when you did!

[fourleafcleaver]

[Snubbull barks at the continued display of angrily hitting things, and when her grand display of intimidation and terror fails to send Angry Kicking Guy and Angry Headbutting Ghost running, she flees over to Clover's feet and whines some more.]

Shush, Lady. You were, huh? [She squints at him, then turns to face the puzzle. Yeah, okay, this definitely looks almost-solved.] Riiiight. [Humming, she reaches forward to start arranging the pieces.] With all these curves, it ought to make a circle around the edges, right?

[chickshades]

[ Sorry Lady, it's not you, this guy's just hard to distract once he gets started. His Duskull has noticed, though, and floats down to peek curiously around Clover's leg at the Snubbull. Bandou's too busy watching Clover move the pieces around with ease, while getting rather irritated that she's figuring this out when he couldn't. ]

Damnit...

Right? I hate these things. [Said without pausing her puzzle piece placing at all.

Lady, meanwhile, has managed to achieve the exact opposite of what she set out to do. She barks as soon as Duskull approaches, jumps around in place by her trainer for a moment like she can't figure out where to go—and decides on falling onto her back. If she flails her tiny limbs around like this and growls for long enough maybe she'll be left alone? This dog is doing very well for herself, clearly.

Apparently immune to Lady's constant terror towards everything she encounters, Clover focuses on the task at hand still; she can't quite figure out what this is supposed to be, so she keeps turning the middle pieces around and rearranging them.] It's easier to put together once the edges are done... That looks right, anyway.

[chickshades]

[ The Duskull apparently finds Lady's frantic bouncing and yipping amusing (maybe the display is reminding him of his owner?) He drifts over to Lady, hovering above her and playfully waving his cloth-like arms over the dog's flailing feet ]

[ Bandou's arms, on the other hand, are crossed over his chest while he huffs. ]

I guess so...

[ Damnit, this girl's just like, Shouhei. Being nice to me and not rubbing it in my face when I fail and...

Bandou blinks, realizing he'd just said 'girl' and 'being nice to me' in the same thought. He smiles to himself before purposefully tapping his chin in a thoughtful manner. ]

Yeah, that looks pretty good! Maybe if we switch that one to go over there?

(ooc: idk how old Clover is... but if this is weird cause she's super young, I'll re-write the tag)

I... Ilya.

[ He's definitely taken aback as he finds himself taking one step back; his face full of uncertainty at first before he manages a kind smile befitting of an older brother. ]

It's good to see you again. [ Shirou's pretty sure that it's a good thing, considering the expression she's wearing. She seems rather pleased, and that makes him just as happy. ] You didn't actually happen to need my help with anything, did you?

[ He asks again just in case. He's been away for far too long, so he wants to help as much as he can now. ]

[This is the worst day of Lady's life. Growling turns into howling and Clover, without looking away from the puzzle, stoops over to pat Lady's head. Lady's distress settles down to just whimpers, but she can't quite figure out how to get back onto her feet, so the flailing doesn't stop.]

This one? Hmmm... [Ignoring Lady's yipping, Clover stands up and switches around the indicated pieces.] ...Yeah! That looks ri—

[AND THERE GOES THE TRAPDOOR

SHRIEKS THE WHOLE WAY DOWN]

You know, several people have crossed his mind as those who would be useful to him here; Hori is almost always at the top of his list, as that goes. She's also consistently been at the top of his list of those least likely to show up here, because really, the last time he implicitly asked this place for useful people, he got Banjou.

But it seems that today fate has finally smiled upon Shuu Tsukiyama, and he's just going to be leaning up against a nearby tree while she shows her Pikachu (BECAUSE ALL THE ELECTRIC RODENTS AROUND HERE ARE PIKACHU, RIGHT) her bounty, and he's more than content to watch from a distance until he sees fit to try to catch her attention.]

If you'd left me to myself any longer, I'd have to start worrying that you didn't like me anymore.

[His tone is light, a little cloying but more than slightly facetious; hello there, you.]

[ Things she did not expect to run into in Pokéworld: this. She lowers her camera and spends the next few seconds staring at him like he just rose from the dead. ]

It's only been a matter of weeks since you saw me last, hasn't it? At the most! So there's no need to seem so surprised.

[ ASSUMING IT EVEN IS A CASKET. Good thing this is just a test drive so it doesn't matter if it's something else! ]
