You know, the last time we did this meme, it was two days after my HM-iversary and I was filled with a ton of gushing about you guys, about the game, and about all the time we've spent playing together. It was also a meme that took place in a pre-Hoennween world, so I couldn't spend time gushing about that because it hadn't happened yet, but:

Oh my god, you guys.

We did it last year with Nightmare Castle, and it happened again this year with Hoennween — there is nothing quite so magical as hanging out on plurk watching everybody get hype and scream about the participation numbers going up toward the goal and just generally being excited and having a good time with the events we put out for you. I say a lot that one of the things that makes me happiest in RP is being able to help someone else have a great time, and so there's really nothing like putting on a big event and watching it take off as everybody gets enthusiastic about tagging in and participating and making it their own. I'm so happy whenever you guys are having fun, and I find it really rewarding to help make that happen however I can.

But naturally, I don't do it alone; I have the privilege of being a part of an excellent modteam, and if you have the chance, please consider stopping by one of their comments and dropping them a smile because they're all absolutely wonderful, and a lot of their hard work goes on behind the scenes so it's not always immediately obvious just how much time and amazing effort they put in towards everything it takes to keep Route going strong.

I've been at Route for a time best measured in years by now, and I'm currently playing more characters than I ever thought I would here, so honestly I just want to take the time right now to say thank you. Yes, you in particular, you reading these words right now. Thank you. You've been a part of the game, you've brought something to it, you've been a member of this amazing community of people and joined in the fun we've all been having together for more than four and a half years now. That's amazing, and it's a privilege to be a part of it with all of you.

Like honest to God this is one of the most fun games I have EEEVER played in and I'm so glad I'm here, seriously. I really am super glad you like it here, Chi; I remember back when I personally first came to Route I was nervous as all get-out and didn't know the first thing about Pokemon and it was only through the aggressive enabling of a bunch of really cool people that I got up the nerve to app in and give it a shot. I've told you that before, but I wanted to say drop by and say that now when I'm a player again - I've been keeping idle tabs on this place since I left both the game and the team and I've been seriously impressed with the stuff you guys have come up with and how you've all kept the game going.

but as a person and a player, you're even more fabulous, and I'm excited to be in the same game with you again and I hope we can have some of that fun we used to have way back.

Our CR is some of my favorite that I've ever had, in this game or any other; I love how varied it is, and how you're willing to develop CR in whatever direction it may end up going, and ngl I also love how you are all aboard the shenanigans train before it's even considering leaving the station because you are just that hype to go. You bring a great amount of energy and life to this game, and it's definitely improved for the better since you've been on the modteam - your contributions are definitely noticed and appreciated, as both a player and a fellow mod.

I've loved getting to play with you, as well as getting to know you as a person; I'm definitely in a better place, life-wise, because of you, and I don't think I say that enough (at least partially because I'm not sure how to say it without being a fucking trainwreck about it) and I'm really glad that we met and began talking and that we've become friends like we are because my life is definitely better for it.

ALSO I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU CAN WRITE LITERALLY FUCKING EVERYONE AND DO IT WELL BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS FUCKING ADMIRABLE.

Basically everything that has happened in this game with your name attached has been fucking majestic, both as a mod and just as a player involved with the game; I always get all excited when you say you're going to post because I just want to see what you do. You are definitely not afraid to get out there and do stuff and that is an excellent trait to have.

I'm really looking forward to continuing to develop our existing CR, as well as seeing what happens with any new CR we may happen to have; hopefully next year is a good one for you, and I look forward to seeing what it'll bring!

...look this is the kind of comment that you print out and hang on your wall and look at every once in a while when you're maybe feeling a little down and you know what, I might just do exactly that because holy shit.

We haven't threaded much, but with Meridiana and Banjou's CR I'm always looking forward to when they interact because Banjou has apparently found someone he wants to protect. It's pretty cute having it happen with someone who wouldn't mind him being protective. Most people would be quick to rebuff him.

I'm really only canon familiar with Kigiri, but I love how distinct everyone is.

On the modfront, thank you, this is all very sweet! You and the rest of the modteam do a fantastic job keeping everything running. Every single event that's happened since I joined has been a lot of fun to be a part of, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've loved all of it. I'm looking forward to another year here most definitely.

You know it's kind of funny because I actually really like playing characters (on occasion, anyway) who are the object of someone else's protective instincts — I think it goes back to that thing of mine of liking to facilitate stuff for other people, and so I don't mind offering up a character in need of protection for the sake of someone else getting to do that. It's just one of those things that it's hard to work out in RP if it doesn't happen naturally because for one thing there's no easy way to offer up something like that without sounding like you want to make things all about your character, and for another thing it's not nearly as much fun if it doesn't happen organically and on account of chemistry, anyway.

So I'm really glad that it's working out for you and I really do love playing her off of Banjou, he's great and really good for her and it's just incredibly cute all around.

I mean I try really hard not to repeat myself on these things, but we had a new round of space shenanigans between the last meme and this one, so I hope it's okay because that space center thing was wonderful. And I will always appreciate how you're willing to thread out stuff like that and create and also roll with various shenanigans because you always seem willing to listen to my dumb ideas (which once again tend to be pretty dumb sometimes).

I also appreciate everything you do on a mod front. You're great at keeping everybody on track and focused and always seem on top of things, but yeah, I'm definitely biased towards the shenanigans thing and probably always will be.

Also I will be perfectly honest here, I truly had no idea whatsoever how any of that aspect of the post was going to go; I had literally no advance plan and just kind of did that bit for the sake of being funny, and then rolled with it once you popped up and somehow it all kind of snowballed into WELL I GUESS WE'RE JUST LAUNCHING A ROCKET TODAY, HOLY SHIT.

Mark my words someday that rocket will come back to haunt everyone. SOMEDAY.

And you know, ridiculous ideas or not, what's great about them is that they're ideas, and it's so much fun to see creativity at work and help people do things that will hopefully make the game more fun, and you are a constant wellspring of shenanigans and laughter so I am always happy to listen. :|b
