[Nah, Atsuro's just your friendly loser otaku. It's usually hard for him to be intentionally mean.

He shakes his head.]

It's not that strange. Most people sell their eggs because they generally couldn't afford to. Some Pokemon have a lot of eggs, so it'll be a lot of work to take care of that many babies at once. But if you want to keep them and it's not too much trouble, keep them.

[He had similiar troubles when he caught a bunch of new Pokemon at once, thus learning how to take care of all of them at once. Instead of one at a time...

[She falls silent a while, and though she's still staring at Atsuro she isn't focused on him. Instead she's doing some mental math... Hard work was just fine, but she hadn't really considered having another mouth to feed.]

...I don't have an allowance anymore.

[Not that it would have been enough here, either. Less free food tossed her way from Wake or Ellie.]

I suggest getting a part-time job. Depending on where you work, you can earn enough money to support yourself and your Pokemon.

[Almost too well, sometimes. Of course, it also depends on the person's spending habits as well.]

I used to do work for the lab, but that was mostly fighting monsters. [The random trainers was what got her this far without a job, but after a while of repeat battles they might not be so kind to her.] What kind of job do you have?

Me? I'm a freelancing programmer.

[Which is cool and all. It's one of his career goals back home. But well, he only works if he have commissions.]

But when I'm not programming, I work in either retail or tech support.

[Ooh, freelancing. She likes the sound of that.]

I think I'm not sure that I know what a programmer is. [Lots of words for "what's that?", Torri.] To me, it sounds like it could be some kind of scientist or researcher.

[Which could either be good or bad... But she was still getting good vibes off of him.]

Is being a freelancing programmer hard to do? Is it fun?

They can work in similiar fields, but it is fun! Even when programming gets very challenging at times.

[Hm. How to explain programming? The usual way, he suppose.]

Do you know what computers are? [If she does, it'll make explaining things easier for him. If not, he can use the PokeGear as his example.]

I think that being challenging is part of the fun. Wouldn't it be boring if everything was easy instead?

[She nods. They used those in the lab, too, though most of them were a lot bigger than pokegear, or even the PCs in the centers, sometimes.]

Yeah. If things get boring, you'd want to find more exciting and challenging things to brighten things up.

[She knows computers. That make things easier to explain.]

Programming is creating programs that can run on machines like computers, especially important ones that computers need to do any work. Programmers are people who make those programs!

[Torri takes some time to think about that, swaying to gently rock the egg as she stared up at the sky. It was easier to think that way, with such a pleasant color above her and none of the busyness that most life had. When she's apparently made peace with his words, she returns her gaze to the older.]

Hmmn. I think that's good. Even if sometimes the programs can be used for things that aren't good at all... You didn't decide on that. It also probably means you're really intelligent, doesn't it?
