Look, I would really prefer to not have to kick you in the face, so if you could quit scaring the girl that'd be great.

[The words are pressured but otherwise almost strangely devoid of anything that implies he's actually thinking that's going to accomplish anything; more the sort of general talk that one does when they have resigned themselves to the fact that yes, they are in charge of catching the humongous spider and putting it outside so they're just going to tell the damn thing not to move like it can understand them.
