All of my girls are some level of concerned for Dipdip, though Xion is kinda like...is he aware he comes off like really aggressive?? She doesn't think he's intentionally mean, just super unaware of how to read people (what the heck is peta??). And that's p bad coming from a puppet tbh.

Jade thinks he's a neat kid and doesn't mind the idea of hanging out again, she kinda misses him in all honesty. Even when she had the weird thought of "when did Dave and I become teen parents to two kids."

Maka is glad that such an enthusiastic person is in the club. Can't just be her, Kaneki, and Twilight pumped up for the thing.

She's going to hold off on letting Dipper know her "stories" are real life experiences she had. She'd rather he think she has a twisted imagination than...well, a dangerous life.

Xion would actually die for Roxas all over again, though she's still sorry he had to be the one that killed her. She loves Roxas so much that it pained her even as a replica, all she ever wanted was to be with him and Axel forever. Things aren't exactly the same as before, but really...now she's at the point of thinking that's a good thing. Sure, there were a lot of good times lost, but there were more horrible things that were lost too. Starting from scratch wasn't as bad as she thought it'd be, it's...safe and relaxed with him, and she couldn't be happier for that.

Now, if Axel would hurry his lazy butt up and meet them there, it'd be absolutely perfect.

Xion isn't entirely sure what to make of Lightning yet, except that she's sure if Namine trusted her, and that Light was so protective over her means that she's a good person. She is worried about any grief Lightning may still feel, even if she's acting like she's okay. Maybe Lightning is feeling protective over her, but Xion is feeling pretty protective too.

Maka on Dave

There's a lot of anxiety still there as I've said before--not because she was too anxious to confront Dave the first time around and make it clear she's not trying to ruin his life by being friends with his bro, not anymore, that ship has passed straight on into the underworld. No, what's eating at her now is that she knows Bro was a screwed up person, and he was probably a very screwed up parent not fit in the slightest sense, but he was so kind and encouraging to her in his...uh, Bro way, she's really mixed up and irritated about that. It's like how she laid it out to him the first and last time they talked about Bro "I understand, it'd be like if my dad was acting like he can pretend he's a good dad by taking care of some other kid."

Nobody ever predicted that would happen and she factually can't control these things, but goddammit what a thing to put on teenagers. It's not just and Maka hates injustice even if sometimes you can't prevent it from happening. So it's like, she feels protective of Dave in a sense, over that and whatever went on in his own world, it was bound to be fucked up. It's weird? Like he's a little brother, except Maka's issues with family ties would never ever let her speak that aloud. While Spirit didn't treat her the same way Bro treated Dave...sometimes she still feels like he would have rather her never be born so he can freely screw around without obligatory guilt as a parent (yeah they had the "I'm glad you turned out the way you did" conversation but there was still a caveat of "it would have been troublesome if you were a girl and acted like me so hey.") And Dave does not need that, not anymore.

Overall she likes him, he's easy to talk to and she is touched that he thinks of her like a friend and there's not some weird Bro taint on her to him. As made obvious, Maka will generally try to be as transparent with him as possible about what's gone on and what's currently going on--IE her war veteran status and why she takes friendship so darned seriously. And if he needs a favor, hell, he can call one in any time, Maka's already done all the game objectives here, not much else to do but be a helpful NPC.

Jade on Dave

Holy shit where do we even start. Jade's been through many stages of grief friendship with Dave, even in the "tiny crush that leaves with age" stage, but I think everyone can agree that her friendship with him is different from hers with John and Rose. He's always been fun to talk to and nice to her, he got exasperated at her narcolepsy of course but he's never insulted her about it or been outright mean to her (probably pawed at the screen a couple of times going "Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaade" though.) Three years, some teen flirtations, and John being weird later, her feelings about Dave haven't changed. She is still so upset to hear about how things got turned on their ass and even more afraid of what was done to Dave--but Dave is here and he's okay and he's not holding any of it against her gosh he's such a good friend.

Things feel different but not in an uncomfortable way, she still feels comfortable around him, but it's like...now she can actually confide in him, and he can confide in her. Being able to be open and honest with your best friend is weirdly liberating and they can go at more of a relaxed pace in the World of Pokemon, so she's excited to see what each new day will bring, along with Dave of course.

Also she doesn't even care if they come off as weird to other people, it's fucking fun to just goof off with Dave and be weirdly ironic (they're just a bunch of dorky kids anyway let them have that.) It's so much better than the dread of seeing an anon-but-obviously-Dave post talking about keeping something Majorly Bad from a friend, she worried so much so so much about whatever she did, but like she said, she thought if she just didn't bring it up maybe it'd go away.

God, these kids.

She's pretty sure he needs stick extraction from his ass overall. But actually she likes him! His grumpy sarcastic nature reminds her of Karkat. Or rather a Karkat with less swearing and less inexplicable fixation on her ass.

You ever have that one person who like...gets you. Naoya is like that to Botan. There's so few people that she feels comfortable with openly talking about spirit world stuff and her job, not because she doesn't trust them just. You know. Don't freak out the humans.

She'd invite him for tea anytime to swap demon stories.

Super fun!!! And though they haven't spoken face to face she's pretty sure that anyone who uses sparkly pink text is super adorable too. No exceptions, Nowi is a patoot. She'd like to hang out in person someday, maybe introduce their respective bffs to one another.

She is also hoping Nowi is using the glitter she got for Christmas to the fullest.

Okay, ANYWAY, doing this seriously now--

Jade just feels really excited to see Penny and be around her, and she was excited to meet her too, the second Dave mentioned her. Basically Jade just has the excited dog mentality? Getting to know Penny has been a blast, as has hearing about the things in her world too (wow who'd have known she counts as a Faunus?) and though Jade would work really hard to make things homey for her, she's glad also that people from Penny's world have finally started to arrive. Just--Penny deserves nice things, okay? She's a tough little cutie and she deserves nice things.
